Medical redshirts still a thing? Or do they just sue?
You know, honestly, I lost track during all the post Covid exemptions of what counts and doesn’t count anymore. It seems to be that if you’re trying to get a 6th year though, you’re going to have file with the NCAA. I dont think you necessarily have to sue, but I know we have guys that have (that OL that lost his case - I assume he did it after he was initially denied).
Was only half-kidding about suing. Seems like the default reaction these days, though.
ESPN FPI had our best chance of winning another game this year at around 24% for the Temple game. Everyone else is 11% or worse. Don’t think the injuries change much, sadly. Best of luck to those young men in their recovery, though.
With our limited resources vs the top dogs in our conference, it’s crazy to think we were a last second heave at Memphis away from a bowl team last year. Would do anything to go back, right about now.
The good news is, we won’t lose double digit guys to P4’s again this year! ![]()
You, me, and Eddie Money.
Our resources are top 3rd in conference.

It just seems to never stop for the NINERS. We must have really pissed off the football gods in a past life.
Where you getting these numbers? Bottom stadium, bottom revenue, bottom to mid-tier private NIL revenue. Resources, money, and facilities are and have been LOW. While the private NIL numbers aren’t available, I know for a fact we aren’t beating Memphis or Tulane on roster price. And as for resources aka facilities and budget, who are we beating out?!
And our coaching staff pool is laughable. You saw what Albin is getting paid. Our assistants made more last year because Biff didn’t take in his salary. That has changed now too. ECU assistants make over 100k more than ours.
I have been told by people from the AD that our NIL for basketball is between 1.5-$2M and football is above that number.
I’ve heard for hoops it’s now greater than 2 million.
Help me understand this. So we receive around $6 mil this year. We give out $1.4 mil and receive back close to $3 mil from the sharing?
So we paid a staff of former analysts with very little actual coaching experience more than we are paying the current staff that has years of actual coaching experience. Sounds like we wasted a lot of money last year. Also, I’m pretty sure someone here or on the discord server said that Biff did not return part of his salary to pay assistants. He said he was going to do that but I don’t think it ever happened.
I can’t deny or confirm how much his assistants received. All I know is that an easy search of assistant coach salaries can show you how bottom of the barrel we are when it comes to staff pay. That was the whole point.
We tied for highest win total in program history last year, LOL. I don’t think we’re in good enough shape as a program to call anyone a waste of money. As far as we know, we’re wasting money right now too. Like someone said in another thread, we have TWO FBS touchdowns.
This year is painful but I don’t want last year back in the slightest. Sure we were close to in Memphis but we got blown out in every single other loss, and won 2 games against awful teams due to 3 missed chip shot field goals, plus Gardner webb (lol) That was a 3 win team disguised as 5, bottom 25 in pretty much every metric. Not to mention the chaos on the sidelines and fights with fans. It’s a good thing that era is in the past.
We’ll just have to agree to disagree. This year the record is going to be really bad. Things may be getting ready to look even worse with Harrell out for the rest of the season. But even with all of the bad this season I would still take this coaching staff over Biff’s staff any day of the week. We are short on talent this year, but that can be corrected quickly with the portal. If things still look the same at this point next season I will start to worry, but Albin’s past success is enough to buy him a little time in my opinion. Expecting him to fix this dumpster fire in one season is a little unrealistic when we’ve consistently been one of the bottom 10 FBS programs in the country for most of our existence.
How do your enter the transfer portal mid season?
He wasn’t eligible or on the team at the beginning of the season so he could probably have entered whenever he wanted.
