Yep. Stroud a head scratcher since he just completed his 5th full season of college ball.
Actually not a transfer but a traditional commit by a Charlotte area hoopster. Niners had recruited a high school teammate of Henry - Sean Birmingham - when both were at the Cannon School. Latter committed to UNCG last year but not listed on roster so not sure what happened there. Anyway, nice pickup for Queens and another one of those head scratchers as to why we didn’t recruit:

I can’t speak for the FSU assistant coach, but from what I’ve read, there are quite a number of bad actors who are looking to cash in on “representing” athletes. Even though the NCAA supposedly requires agents to be certified, that doesn’t mean they are actually policing them. As such, just as in everyday life, there are good guys and bad guys. Just another aspect of all the NIL and transfer portal chaos.
Watched some of the Field of 68 “Final Four Show” from San Antonio today and they had Pat Kelsey and Ryan Odom on. Sort of ironic because just hours before that segment UofL was “poaching” UVA’s best player this season. But from what I gather, Kelsey and Odom are pretty good buds, so the transfer portal is just a part of business in the current landscape of college athletics. Also, Odom didn’t come right out and say it but did infer part of the roster turnover in Charlottesville was coach initiated aka “cleaning house.”
One time Niner recruit from the QC who played high school ball at Vance and Lake Norman Christian. 2023-24 Big East all freshman team.
Although Creighton is losing 2024-25 All-American and NABC Defensive POY Ryan Kalkbrenner - spent entire college career at CU - most likely to the NBA, Graves is being joined by some pretty decent portal newcomers in addition to the holdovers and frosh top 60 Hudson Greer.

This is everyday life. We all have the potential to be scammed at any time. Some of those scams might be job hunting related.
I don’t follow the original posters issue with it because it’s normal life.
Lots of people get hit up with recruiters every day!!!
I am so sick of this coddling of college athletes and the pearl clutching by some in the industry.
The path has been chosen for them to participate in basically an open market and this is what comes with it.
Another former Niner recruit. Likely a run off and/or seeking PT based on stats.
Creighton pulling accomplished transfers from B1G schools adds tremendous weight to 1) the viability of the Big East in the go forward hoops model and 2) that they have a big NIL pot.
