Was hoping we might have a chance here but we didn’t recruit him while he was at Winston-Salem Prep so no previous relationship. Definitely can’t compete with SEC money even for a guy who’s most likely to come off the bench in Columbia.
Those days are gone unfortunately. Anybody with talent and shows it here will get paid big $$s to leave.
In most instances but not all. Look at ecu. They had generational talents in football and basketball stick around for their final year of eligibility
Maybe you and I have a different definition of “generational talent”, who at ECU would be considered a generational talent?
The Pirates have definitely had talent in hoops, with Tristen Newton probably the most notable. Plus Jayden Gardner and Javon Small come to mind as well.
Generational for them. Felton in hoops, and the db who was a projected top 10 pick in football.
Ok, got it, I am just used to hearing the moniker generational talent when the talking heads are discussing Wenby, Lebron, Giannis etc… but I get it, you were saying a ECU generation.
Yeah. My point being that not everybtop guy will leave. Most will, but sometimes, kids value other things
You mean you get a DEGREE??? I thought you just balled!
I realize that I didn’t use examples of guys who stuck around in Greenville. But you certainly can’t deny Newton’s contribution after transferring to UConn.
Not sure if the Niners are among the AAC schools interested:
No surprise here. Have seen Lendeborg projected as a low first round draft pick, so he will have a big decision to make about whether to forego a final college season. The NBA Draft Combine will most likely be the determining factor.
Niners offered in 2023. Played mostly garbage time for the self-proclaimed “best f*cking coach in the sport!”
AK losing them left and right.
Let the first 990 sign up and we will take the last 10. Will save a lot of money.
Vinnick another whiner. Wazzu didn’t recruit Dent either from what I can tell.
