Suppose one of the players who left for the portal wants to come back at this late date?
- Sure, if he’s a good player
- Maybe, if he’s a good player, and he apologizes to the team

In theory, the dust has settled. Graduate students can enter the portal at any time, but the portal window is supposedly closed for everyone else. Even if a player could enter the portal now, it might not be a good idea. Most teams are at or close to 105, so most teams are done making offers. Many of the players still in the portal will get no offers at all and will be out of football next fall. Charlotte can take 1-5 more players, depending on whether Mayes, Brown, or Holley get an additional year.
My guess is that Charlotte will take 3 more, hopefully promising Freshmen or Sophomores, and that no one else will leave. It’s safe to start learning the names or the players, but of course, unfortunately we don’t have a real depth chart, so it’s only a guess as to who will play.

I can’t guess his value, but I do know that the only Safety taken from the portal was Curtain, who joined the team in January. It seems to me that the coaches didn’t feel that more safeties were needed. Some here follow the coaches to see what offers are outstanding, and who they are following. Are they trying to add any safeties late?
I have seen some coaches following juco dbs and 1 portal guy but no offers i can see
