Im amazed we gave up no runs in the 1st….but we are making up for it in the 2nd…….run rule incoming. I suspect we’ll be glad the run rule can’t come into play until the 7th.
Moral victory after last weekend I guess. Lost 8-4.

Not a moral victory, but definitely a step in the right direction. It was good to see guys that struggled on the mound this weekend get back out and have success.

JT moved into a starting role this weekend.
This team is COOKED! Done!!!…..no excuses,no “slump” this team is just bad. Looking like we could get run ruled at home to a very mediocre Rice team…….This is BY FAR the worst pitching staff for CLT in many years.
Wow….only CLT could pull this off……runners on 2nd and 3rd, no outs. What do we do? 3 straight strikeouts…….good lord, that was so lame.

Well, we basically do the same again….after getting within 2 runs in the 8th, we have the bases loaded with 1 out……strikeout, flyout.

This season is essentially over, atleast in terms of an at large bid, which we had a legitimate shot at a few weeks ago. We can’t do enough, realistically, to get that chance back.

It is what it is. All we can do is support the guys and hope they can figure it out by tournament time.

I watch em and pull for em toooo much probably……this years team is just super annoying and honestly, IMO, just not very good, sadly. RWs seat SHOULD be getting hot, whether it actually is…..iDK.
Rinse and repeat. Bases loaded in the first with no outs…….no runs scored. 2 days in a row we did that……and also as usual, our opponents continue to score multiple runs after 2 outs. They’re clutch, we are not.

Not sure how it can’t be getting warm. Changes need to be made. The team is better than this. I am not calling for Woodard to be fired to be clear. Something has to change though.

The worst part is our pitching is well below average and that is his area of expertise. Also, his entire tenure, we have been terrible against the bunt (or using that weapon ourselves) and have gotten worse if anything. We make base running errors consistently and our OF has been poor recently as well. Not sure i ever recall as many hits getting over the heads of college OFs as often as it has happened to this team recently. Not one aspect of this team is trending up.

clt imagines we will just hire another UNC CHeat player or coach
I think he is a good recruiter for our level, but he needs to bring in a true pitching coach next year
