2026 Charlotte 49er Football 🏈

I would also hate to see Albin fired after 2 years, but what do you do if he only wins 2 games this year? I am hoping for 4 wins and it is a non-issue.

Does it even matter anymore without a Mr. Beast to buy your team???

The fans of our competition must love our forum. We haven’t seen the Niners competitively this year and are talking 0 wins. Come on, people. We are capable of winning 9 games and capable of losing the same number just as every other team in the league. No one knows for sure who will be really good and really bad. At least we have a coach that knows what winning is like. I like our chances but I am the eternal optimist. GO NINERS!

I always had the feeling Albin was tighter with Chancellor Gabor than Mike Hill. He has to crash and burn hard to get an early exit.

Not 100% but it would take 0-12 and a complete crap show like he lost control of the team, the team quit on him type of scenario I think.

I’ve said this before: We hire DI coach coming off three consecutive 10 win seasons, then fire him after two seasons. Our program would be labeled toxic in the coaching community.

You are living in the Past. Coaches will be evaluated every year with how well they can recruit and restock the cupboards practically every year, in this new portal landscape. Why do you think Kiffin is the highest paid Coach? Albin had those results before the “wild west” started and people stayed. Why do you think Dabo is having so much trouble and Sabin has said many times on GameDay, he would not be successful in this mess. Albin has this year to prove he can adapt. IMHO

Interesting view of the 49ers. He did his research, and knows mostly all the things are are known, with the exception that he didn’t know anything about the Freshmen, several of whom will play this year. Unfortunately, however, much is not known, and he didn’t uncover anything new, so he just gave a laundry list of the roster and called it good.

How do you think Albin’s recruiting has been? From my perspective, his freshmen recruits seem to have been pretty good. As far has his portal recruits, the first group, before he had his staff in place, were not good. The ones after April were pretty much all good. (Miles, Ramil, Nicholas, Boyd, Green, Irving, Talib, Simpson, Cobb, Williams, Kaba, Brooks, Solomon, Fernandez, C. Smith). My hope is that this portal transfers this year will be of the same quality as that group, and if they are, everyone will be happy.

The one place he has not done well, though, is JUCO. The ones from last year were D. Davis, Wilcke, Hunter-Gibson, Burgess, J. Johnson, Samples, and O. Davis. I am not impressed with the ones he brought in this year, either. Pierre-Nau is rumored to be a starter, but out of 12 JUCO players, you’d hope for at least 3-4 starters, and the rest second string. I think most this year will not play, just as most did not play last year.

Just signed me and the wife up for the App State tailgate. I didn’t know it was available to sign up for it until someone else advised me. Just a FWIW. Go Niners!

I had so much fun on our last trip up there. What I can remember of it anyway haha.

Man. I know I’m getting old now. I’m not that interested anymore of going to road games.

I hear that, I have had a hard time getting someone to go with me. Everyone stays busy these days.

I plan on going to the UAB away game which coincides with my birthday. I hope we don’t totally suck this season.

Will be at app. My first away game up there. Also will be at the tailgate.
