Curious what everyone thinks about the ‘26 schedule in terms of how it’s laid out (too soon to talk wins and losses)? First things that jump out to me is I think the bye comes at a decent spot, not too late not too early. Also, we go 3 weeks in October without a home game but Tulane on Friday the 30th ought to be fun.
I like the Friday 30th home game (don’t have to compete with Halloween). We have a rare Thanksgiving weekend home game against a quality opponent. I wish ECU game was in October but otherwise no complaints. Glad we don’t have a bunch of weeknight games this year.
Said in the other thread that the back to back away games at Ole Miss and at App are tough, but at least we get a warmup game at home vs the Citadel first.
Also, if we aren’t limping into the back part of our season, we play 3 of our last 5 at home. Could be impactful at that point.
I don’t see us making a bowl this season but hope we build momentum going into the 2027 season. With a new AD here I don’t think Albin get as much time to turn things around.
I think he gets enough time.
I think Albin gets way more leash than Fearne.
FWIW, White’s last 2 stops were at schools known for giving their basketball coaches a whole lotta leash.
Yeah but the coaches there actually had some success. Fearne has had none
Chris Collins as of today is exaclty 206-206 at Northwestern. In his 13 seasons in Evanston, the Wildcats have been to 3 NCAATs. Won’t be a 4th unless the next to last place Big Ten team runs the table in the league tournament.
Brownell definitely a better record in his 16 seasons at Clemson but there were 7 years between the first and second NCAAT appearances. It’s only been recent that he hasn’t been a perennial 'hot seat" name but an Elite Eight will do that for most.
I’m guessing homecoming will be Nov 14th vs ECU.
I hope not. ECU will be a sell-out without it being Homecoming.
Homecoming will be Memphis. Family weekend probably UL, Navy will sellout along with first game of the year.
I feel like our offseason has been underwhelming and that we have not really improved our roster as of now. I think the best thing that has happened this offseason is getting rid of Louisville and adding Louisiana as it is considered at least a possible winnable game.
I am not sure how to tell. We have so many new pieces nowadays it’s kind of hard to keep track or know. I do trust Albin (even after 1-11) and believe he will get us turned around. Our schedule is tough again but I like the way the games are set up better this season. Especially in November.
