Anyone else catch the video online of the lefty FG kicker?! I only remember a righty from the Spring game. Being that he was young maybe itās the transfer they brought in.
Also, Gonzalez looks like he can freaking spin it!

If I recall, Ian Kelly is left-footed, and he can punt as well as place kick. Having a lefty as a backup place kicker is difficult, as everything must be reversed, so Kelly decided to focus on punting. He is now the backup punter, and next year will be #1, while they brought in Birtwistle to compete for the PK job.
Kelly, thatās right! I knew there was a lefty, but couldnāt nail it down when I looked on the roster. What do you think about him getting live reps at FG on day 13 of camp? I feel like we havenāt heard much about kicker during camp for having a RS fresh/transfer stepping in.
Iām an ex big boy and snapper, so I got a soft spot for the forgotten positions 
Speaking of, from everything Iāve seen Jāven Williams is living up to the hype. Plays angry, exactly what that group needs coming off of last year!

Funny that you brought up Burgessā name 'cause he is my favorite player on this team. Whether he starts or is a backup, it wonāt matter to me. Iāll be cheering for him either way.
I like the fact that heās his own man. Heās accomplished much as a juco football player and as a track and field athlete. Thereās no, āHey my dad is famous. He put up great numbers when he played alongside Warren Sapp for 3 years and he still holds records for the Oakland Raiders. Now are you going to hand me a starting job or not?ā Thereās none of that. Everything he achieves is earned.

I think you just missed Burgess on the AI Depth Chart. Burgess is listed as first team Boundary End, as an āorā with Jaylon Johnson. That said, I donāt think AI has the order right for the D-Line positions, but I think a lot of people will play, and the order will be determined over time by who plays well, so pre-season speculation doesnāt really matter. In particular, I have seen positive comments about Ancrum, Aliu-Otokiti, and Tifase in preseason commentary.

Actually many high schools are also still on over the air radio at least where I live. I will say radio is headed the way of newspapers. Just wish we had more options as fans.
The thing is you can occasionally reach a random fan who maybe wouldnāt have tuned in if you are on radio. If we were ever successful at a revenue sport we might actually gain a fan or two like that. If itās only streaming you have to know exactly where to go to listen and most of the stations that would carry us are already available to stream. So no matter how you spin it this gives us less access than we had before. Only positive I see is we get all the advertising dollars, but it doesnāt matter if no one tunes in.

Streaming in addition to a local radio affiliate is great. Streaming onlyā¦not so much. The AD is trying spin how great streaming only is and āmeeting our fans where they are.ā Itās all bullā
though and embarrassing that we couldnāt find one local station to broadcasts our football and basketball games.
