They could shut the room down for 5 years and reopen it to classes. If you close everything where a murder took place you would run out of space in the world. Renaming the classroom after the kids and putting it back into the service of teaching young people to be successful seems to be appropriate and sensitive to the situation.
Rename the room for Riley and Reed and make it a room telling the story about UNC Charlotte. Itās fitting since thatās the first building on campus. So many of our students and alums donāt know about our history and important folks that helped us (Bonnie) it would be a great way to honor those killed and those that helped us get to where we are.

Yep-----my son had just passed by Kennedy a few minutes before this happened. he had just gotten back to his dorm a few minutes before they ālocked downā everything.
