Interesting volleyball tidbit, incoming Freshman Milena Lopez is the daughter of former 49er baseball player Joe Lopez. Joe has been a big supporter of the baseball program here.

Joe Lopez is a baseball alum, successful businessman, and all around great guy. His daughter was recruited to play volleyball for us.

New coach and new floor? Did Joe buy the coach as well and did he get a discount for buying both?
Most recent salary Iām finding for previous Niner volleyball HC Karen Weatherington was $94,409 (2023). Jenkins made $108,680 last year as associate HC at Michigan and around $76,000 as HC at East Tennessee.prior to that.
As far as a hardwood VB floor, thatās an expenditure typically in the $75K to $150K range.

There is a couple weeks overlap for VB and Basketballā¦ does that mean the basketball court comes back and VB has to play on a new floor for the last week or so? And/Or does this mean basketball has to practice on a vball lined court for a month?
Court looks great though.
