Oriakhi would be eligible next season.

Looks like Oriakhi may be headed to Duke. They are after him bigtime.

Did Major recruit him from Ohio State, or for that matter Oliver at UGA or Odom at VT?

According to J-Felt, OSU was after him hard.

Well, no one can make the obligatory “With that list, we look like Kansas!” comment this time. lol

Interesting that he’s immediately eligible because of UCONN’s situation. Then if they win their appeal he has to sit.

NCAA rules are hilarious.

Yeah, we’ll get him.

Let’s see, I have about $100. How much the rest of NNN got?

On a positive note, of the teams listed at least we have an open scholarship. Not sure how many on that list can say the same.

On a negative note, he is transferring so he doesn’t miss out on the NCAA Tournament next year.

I imagine if Duke wants him they’ll get him. They have the scholarship since Austin is going pro.

I don’t see how that’s a negative since we’re a tournament team next year with or without him.

Will he decide before or after UConn’s appeal decision?

I believe his transfer is a done deal. Their appeal won’t be considered for a while and he needs to make a decision now while scholarships are open.

We are far from a lock to make the tournament like most of the others on that list.

I hope he comes here to increase our chances.

We are a lock to make the NCAA tournament next year with our without him. With him just takes us further.
Go Niners!

Oriakhi won’t determine how far we go, he will be the difference between winning every game by 10 points or by 25 points.

adding him would give us 3 NBA lottery picks for 2013.
