In all seriousness, Adding another C will allow Braswell to move to the PF spot and not have any questions whatsoever. This is about the best possible scenario available for Braswell and the team.
Oriakhi’s situation is just as complicated: The Big East does not allow players to transfer within the conference and the SEC prohibits one-year transfers. In order to become eligible at Kentucky, Oriakhi would have to apply for a separate waiver, according to a source.
It’s in his best interests to come here. Ideal situation.
The fact that this thread even exists amuses me. Keep it up.
We were included in a list so what is so amusing?
Charlotte will be ranked Top 25 going in to next year if we land him. Maybe even make the final four.
Such a defeatist attitude.
If he comes here the NCAA would probably give him another year of eligibility for being such a keen decision maker.

The whole thing. It’s comically unlikely. It would be comically good. And I was a UConn fan growing up and still am cool with them, so it would just be awesome. Not only are we on some list with schools that are head and toes above us currently programwise, there are already 2 pages in this thread. Not only is it not going to happen and it would be astronomically good if it did, but post count alone might suggest people think we even have a shot or that making serious posts about it isn’t a waste of time.
Explaining it makes it less funny to me.

Headline in this morning’s Big O gave the impression he’s headed to Chapel Hill, though the actual story did not. Hmmm…
Talk about a title that misrepresents the content.

I take it you’re talking about the title of the newspaper itself.

Oriakhi’s father also listed Xavier, Ohio State and UNC-Charlotte as possible destinations.
Nice find, nice to see us still listed. Obviously on the outside looking in right now…
The only benefit I can think of for him coming here (for him, not for us) is that he would have a better opportunity to put up gaudy numbers and increase his draft profile after a disappointing JR season.
Not that he’d have a problem anywhere he goes seeing the floor, but I imagine he would have an easier time getting 30 mpg and 15+ ppg here than he would at a program with experienced and productive post players. Here he’d be competing with two true freshmen, a JUCO that barely played, and a red shirt freshman. A starting spot is virtually guaranteed.
Anyway, I still don’t see him landing here, but it would be nice.
