Just finished reading through the entire Albini letter posted above to the members of Nirvana re: pre-recording of In Utero. His comment about “remixing is for talentless pussies” is pretty funny considering that Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree has a very nice side gig doing just that!

Anyway, didn’t realize Albini was so self-effacing. Having recently read a history of the 1960’s supergroup Cream, Eric Clapton et al dealt with many who had their money grubbing hands all over every aspect that short lived band. Albini apparently the total antithesis of the typical producer etc.

From Slash’s upcoming album “Orgy of the Damned”. The album will cover old blues songs with various singers.

With Ministry perhaps calling it a day, definitely the wildest performance I ever saw - not as much by the band but instead the audience reaction during the 1992 Lollapalooza tour!

Will be in the QC in September at PNC.

It’s been awhile, but one of the best shows I ever saw was Staind, Three Days Grace, and Hurt during Speed Street back in 2006.

I’ll have to admit that I wasn’t much of a BHS fan (beyond “Pepper”) so wasn’t aware of their wild live show rep.

And, of course:
