Anthony Salter - 2010 JUCO PG

I would have to agree with you on that. I don’t know what the point of skipping out on seats in the corner was.

I think it’s just because the seats on the ends and student side are retractable so that students could use that space to play basketball.

This place is slowly turning into the A-10 forum…one big pissing contest.

It’s funny how lately they all involve metro bashing our program or recruits.

Keep in mind that Halton Arena is inside the Student Activity Center which means that it is open to all students pretty much every day where as the BCS arenas are for predominantly for athletic events only. Obviously a athletic event only arena is going to be designed differently than one that serves dual purposes as host of athletic events and student activities. I think the athletic department did a great job in working with the university to create a great arena for enjoying college sporting events as well as providing recreation activities to students on a daily basis.

My guess is that if we had the monetary backing and fanbases of the BCS schools we might have a large athletic only arena and a decent size student activity center in place of Belk. But we don’t have either and have done a good job in my opinion of using a centralized campus location that serves both roles.

I dont get a good feeling with Salter. That being said, I didnt get a good feeling last year when Derrio went on a UGA visit after ours, but it certainly worked out in our favor.

Iowa was really bad last year, but their strength was in their guards. They were very weak on the inside. They have everyone returning except for 1 little used reserve. They had a pretty decent freshman PG and Salter would def have to split time with the other guards on the roster.

Here, he has plenty of big men to play with, and only two other guards to compete with on a team that could be pretty good if we add the right pieces (him being one of the pieces). I mean, if I was him, I’d think it is a no brainer. Then again, he seems to love BCS teams, so we’ll just have to see how it goes.

I could not agree with you more

Im gonna cry. Really. NA-C and lil eason teamin up!! Its kinda cute i must admit.

Good thing the size of the arena doesn’t correlate with win total. BTW, from a facilities standpoint, the Missouri Valley is a damn good conference.

no updates on Iowa’s rival.com site yet. Hoping he didn’t pull the trigger with them this weekend.

Visiting Hawaii next, via free Scout snippet. HI.com is Hawkeye Insider.

Anthony Salter visited Iowa last weekend and will follow it up with the trip Hawaii later this week. Hawkeye Insider caught up with the point guard’s coach at Iowa Western to get the latest on Salter’s recruitment, academics and more.

How in the world could you go to Hawaii and NOT commit to them?

because they arent good. its like, how could anyone commit to syracuse unless they enjoy boredom and negative 40 degree weather. kids commit to the program not the location.

Free tropical island vacation.

Carver Hawkeye Arena

Halton (I think this was taken during the UMASS A10 tourney game this year).[/quote]

Who could resist the architectural charm of this giant arachnid-looking building?

…or how about their capacity crowds?

If it’s great practice facilities you desire, look no further:

…and Iowa weather, yeah boy, they got it:

How can a recruit pass all of that up.

haha excellent point

The trees in those photos are probably the only trees in the entire state.

Ha Ha… there are like 6 people in that entire lower level section.

Metro is a toxic spill by an outdated manufacturer that just refuses to close the factory though time has passed it by.

His NPD (body type) certainly it can’t be brain type, does not allow him to see his true image.
