come to think of it, most of the pups on this board (existing students) will probably grow up energetic Niner fans, because the only direction from here is up. Football could be coming, name change within a decade, and these students are used to mediocre basketball. Whereas, most of us in our 30’s and up have watched steady decline in performance and image, which makes us jaded.

I agree with everything you said except for the part the only direction from here is up. There is one vote that is coming up soon that if the outcome is negative, it will be a major step down. I hope we don’t have to deal with that. We will all be part of the jaded group then.
Did anyone ever receive a response from the Observer or the school as to why this happened?

Most of the issues we have now, we had in CUSA. The only things that are worse now are the name recognition of our rivals and our recent performance on the court.
