Strengths:
He’s a strong kid who doesn’t mind contact in the lane. He’ll make the occasional 3-pointer and hails from an athletic Ohio-based based family. He’ll stick on the glass. Weaknesses:
He’s caught in position limbo as a combo forward. Until his skills round out, he’ll be trapped in between positions. If he’s to go the small forward route, he’ll need to become a handler and get more arc on his jump shot. Bottom Line:
His strength and body will aide him in his development. He’ll be a Division I player but which level is to be determined and most of that has to do with his overall skill set.
RT @MichaelDuncan12: My cousin Byron “BJ” Gladden. 6’5 200 pds. Gonna re-class to 2014. He’s 15 yrs old now. He capable of playing 4 positions.”
6’5" and 200 lbs at 15! That’s damn big.
“Charlotte would be the perfect place for me,” Gladden said. ”They haven’t been coming that hard lately, though. I know they’re big on me. I’ve heard they don’t think they can get me, but I love Charlotte.”
I hope Major and company are taking notes. I really think we have a bright future, at least on the basketball side of things.
