Baseball RPI ratings went up a few days ago, we are #14 as of today.

never nice season they are putting together. I want to see them make headway in the NBCWA, BA and ESPN/USA Today polls.

Someone posted yesterday. I think it was Metro. Baseball America or another of the ranking services is based out of the Triangle and has never come close to ranking us because they do not like Charlotte. I think that is also the poll the Observer uses.

Guess I’ve just been beat over the head too many times by the ignorance of the general public towards Charlotte 49ers athletics.
I’ve conceded that Coach Hibbs will have to win the next 2 College World Series, Coach Green will have to return to the next 3 Golf Final 4’s AND Coach Lutz will have to exceed John Wooden’s success at UCLA before the Niners Athletic Department ever gets the public credit they deserve.
Anything short of that and the athletics at UNC Charlotte will continue to be supported by small, but loyal group of supporters that most North Carolinians know nothing about.

Jim briefly mentioned in the shoutbox that he attended the Charlotte-USC ball game, and that we should be ranked soon, and that the Observer should be doing some stuff very soon. The coverage will come.

Davidson, why don’t you use your time to talk about how your team is getting it’s doors blown off everyday and forget about you inferiority complex for one day. Charlotte is you daddy in Basketball, Golf and you certainly don’t won’t to step on the baseball diamond with us. CHUMPS!!!

I’m sorry, it doesn’t look like anyone’s picked up on the main issue here. How do you argue computer-based rankings? That’s like challenging the principles of mathematics. How ambitious! Doesn’t change anything though. Please tell me we play them. I’ll take an RPI hit playing a terrible opponent just to wipe them off the diamond.
