Doesn’t look like they are the power they usually are this year, but I’d love another win over an SEC opponent under our belt. They swept LSU but they lost yesterday to Tennessee Tech.

Tennessee returns to action Wednesday at 7 p.m. when it hosts 18th-ranked Charlotte (21-3, 6-0 Atlantic 10) at Robert M. Lindsay Field at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Junior right-hander Ty’Relle Harris (2-0, 1.93 ERA) will start on the mound for UT, while Charlotte sends senior right-hander B.J. Hagen (0-0, 4.08 ERA) to the hill.

My first college baseball game ever. We didn’t have baseball when I was a student. (We did have the best named intramural club ever though, Baseball Kappa)
I’m excited. I usually have to drive hundreds of miles to see my Niners play. Now I just have to go across town!
pretty cool how times have changed… I remember in 1993, we played the first ever NCAA tourny game for 49er baseball at UT against UT and Todd Helton. We were the only team in the NCAA with a losing record (26-30) but won the Metro tourny at the Diamond, the AAA park in Richmond. UT was #1 in the country.
Now we are going up there ranked and they are NOT…

Wonder what they’ll do with that bomb shelter now that the Braves moved out… haven’t heard anything yet. I attended many games there as a kid.

My brother owns and runs a fudge and ice cream shop there called Kilwins. He has stores in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It is a pretty cool place to go and visit.
