We fell 6 spots in the RPI by beating App 15-5. Now at 41.
Even in defeat they are a PITA.
clt says no need to play them anymore.
We actually stopped playing them after the 2006 season because a game went to extras and they didn’t have lights, so the game ended in a tie.
Based on how he was acting Sunday when he was injured I’m guessing he has a hamstring strain/pull. For me that would be season ending in church league softball.
Thanks…we need his bat back in the lineup.
It is a hammy. Uncertain timetable.
Ugggg…that stinks
Love that we beat them, would love to talk trash to some Appys I know, but can’t bring myself to say anything negative about any other sports program…
Plus we do have to go up to play them in Boone. Best to at least wait until after that game. Even if they are bad, it isn’t a guaranteed win.
No matter what happens in Boone later this year, I think people will definitely remember what happened last night. 1600+ in attendance & tons of media coverage. There’s only 1 opening game at Atrium Health Ballpark. That game is going down in history.
Rotation of McGowan, Marozas, Brooks, TBD this weekend.
Good to know, wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. Looks like the series is going to be watchable on WKU facebook page
They had a light pole struck by lightning last night so they need to play in the daylight.
McCabe did travel with the team to WKU this weekend, but it sounded like there was a slim chance of him playing.
Pilolli and Elwood are also 'Day to day."
Maybe McCabe can DH and if he hits a homerun he can walk around the bases!
Thanks for posting this Alumnus. What jumps out at me most is toward the bottom of the page. Our defense is much better this year. Most of our best teams have been good defensively. And holy cow, teams were swiping bases on us like crazy last year! Both of these improvements keep potential runs off base and from scoring. Now if we could lower the walks we give up and the HBP I’d be happy.
