If you find yourself in Mooresville, try Lancasters.

I bought some Lancaster’s BBQ at Sam’s, it was actually pretty good. Over 3 lbs for $12, great deal.
The 6BC stuff is crap squid. Don’t be or come off as two faced. If you can’t stand us, then don’t play it off on this board while you backstab us on another.
Well, I choose to respect that this is your board, so I don’t use that phrase on this board. I can if you would like thought. The question in that thread was “If Charlotte adds football, should they be asked to come back to C-USA”. My stance was no and those were some of the reasons I listed. Plus, I don’t think football would succeed at Charlotte and it would also take away from your basketball.

fixed
The mocking tone is what bothers me.
Squid doesnt have to like us, or even respect us, but don’t be two faced about it.
Say what you feel. I’m not promising you a warm reception if you rip on us, but I’d respect that more. I’m not afraid to say (here or anywhere else) that I don’t like Cal and I don’t like about 25% of Memphis fans cause they’re asshats. Then again, one of my best friends in the world is a Memphis grad and diehard fan.
If you 2 want to fight, take it to the pig pen.
Now, back to BBQ talk.
So is Bill Spoon’s some type of “Drug front” or something??? I went by there on Sat. and the sign said they are only open 10-3:30 Mon.- Fri. I know someone stated that they were only open about 20 a week but I figure they would be open of Sat.
Does anyone know why they are only open those hours and not on Sat. Just curious.
The RDH has some great BBQ. MMMMMmmmmmm
RDH=Rather Die Hungry

A&M Grill, or “the Grill” to natives, in Mebane on the list!
Agreed N1NER, along with those on the Lexington list, especially Speedy’s. Nothing beats their BBQ sandwich basket and a pitcher of Cheerwine with that small, crunchy ice!
FWIW, I went to Stamey’s in Greensboro last week (across from the Coliseum). It was the first time I’ve eaten there in 5-6 years and I was disappointed. A Stamey’s BBQ years ago was a treat to get.
Partial to eastern NC…don’t need red sauce or molasses in vinegar to make the sauce kickin’.
With that said, Wilbur’s Barbeque in Goldsboro is THE place to stop for a Barbeque sandwich. Now in Cali, Scott’s is the closest thing I can get to sauce since they will ship to California. For Barbeque in Charlotte, though, Bill Spoon’s is the place.
Never liked Smithfield because gas cooked barbeque is something a Yankee would do. It’s unamerican.
No matter how bad any BBQ is there, though, it BLOWS here in the Bay. Went to Armadillo Willy’s today. They put freakin’ peanuts in the coleslaw and they think shredded pork is cutting it into 3 inch chunks:huh:
Sticky Fingers. You have a variety of sauces and cooking styles, to please different regional tastes. I had dry rub menpiss ribs, and sloppily and happily dipped them in all varieties of sauces. So tender. So good.

I just ate at Sticky Fingers for my Bday a few days ago. It was VERY good.
Bill Spoons is hands down the greatest BBQ in the area.
Where is this Bill Spoon’s you speak of?
South Blvd…In between a Taco Bell and a Baskin Robbins.
Be aware though…he’s only open from 11am-3pm and is closed on Mondays too I think. And he is a “cash only” business.

Maurice’s Barbeque in South Carolina is mustard-base. I was not a fan of the thought, but once I tried it I liked it. It is a nice change of pace from vinegar-base NC BBQ. Stop at one one your way to Hilton Head or Charleston.
