Who do you think is actually going to want this job?? Why would you think someone with any kind of decent FBS record would come here?? We are one of the smallest FBS programs with no fan support, no money, recruiting in the middle of SEC and ACC Territory. We basically gave the guy 1.5 years. You at least need to see if he can build something.

Broncos (5-6) needed win last night to get bowl eligible but fell 16-14 to Central Michigan. One more chance vs Eastern Michigan in season finale on the 30th.

The main thing that hurts your argument is that it seems Biff himself disagrees with it.
Interesting how many people have said theyāre interested in Napier, but havenāt mentioned Mullen. In 4 years at UF, Mullen teams finished the season ranked 6, 7, 12 and unranked.
He killed it at Miss St too, donāt think heād leave ESPN for us though.

Honest to goodness, I have no idea how we are even perceived when it comes to hiring.
Are we an attractive job? I really donāt know anymore. Guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder

It sounds like we are perceived well. Top g5 conference, great fan support, nice facilities outside of small stadium, major city, lots of local talent.

Iām interested in mullen too. he did a pretty good job at miss state considering the resources and talent they get there. Napier is younger but I actually think mullen would fit better for the long term project of establishing the program if heās willing to stick with us long term.

Itās a good time to have an expansion project on the schedule. Coaches want to see ADs that are investing in the program.

also I guess if we were going with a gamble hire on the chances that we arenāt seen as a good program could be bo pelini. he fielded some decent teams at Nebraska and Youngstown state. although he hasnāt coached in a while. although I think we should be attractive enough to get some more current guys.
We donāt want him - but Brewster is a well-respected and well traveled coach and he is drooling all over the job. Hope that is a good measure.
Yes, he also has a significant losing record as a HC. Iām not trying to bag on him but we really need someone who knows how to get a team over .500 at the FBS level or over .600 at FCS.

Plenty drooling over our opening. Just need to select the right guy to move the program forward. Will also be the perfect time to embrace a GM.
