I donât get a vote but I do hope we hire someone fairly quickly and hire a seasoned professional, not another gimmick hire.
Tim Albin at Ohio would be a solid hire. He would be my choice if available (as if my opinion counts!).
He does look legit.
I like that run he has had at Ohio. I wish I knew more about that particular job, other than he is being paid $700k. How comparable are the challenges there to here?
I just donât want the state dude - DC with nn G5 or HC experience? No thanks.
Hire Petrino. Someone said Gaber was vice chancellor at Arkansas when he first showed up in the national spotlight. So she may be able to understand that situation better than anyone. Heâs the only one that moves the needle for me. Sordid past and all.
Agree! I feel like a coordinator is too risky for our current situation.
Iâll explain the 2012 Petrino situation for you - he was shagging a 25 year old former volleyball player who was employed within the Arkansas AD at the time. Also gave her a secret $20,000 gift. And capped it all off with the motorcycle accident that he initially claimed involved only him but later admitted that his mistress had been a passenger on that ill-fated April Fools Day ride. In the end, forfeited an $18M buyout.
And who among us hasnât done something similar?
Mike Hill,
If youâre going to charge me 85$ for single game tickets, then hire bobby petrino.
Sincerely,
us
Arkansas immediately improved from a total yardage standpoint from No. 107 at 326 yards per game up to No. 13 at 451 yards in just a single season. The Razorbacks improved its third down efficiency rate from 38% last season to 43% in 2024 and ranked near the top ten before the calendar flipped to November.
Looks like heâs still got the play calling part down.
So Petrino was in his early 50âs making time with a young lady half his age? Hire him, he can definitely recruit!!
Chancellorâs have pasts too. If it isnât going to be Clark then Petrino is the best choice in my forever humble opinion.
If we do hire Petrino, we will get the inevitable, âBobby! Bobby! Bobby!â chants.
Imagine a fan experience where you can take a picture between bobby lutz and bobby petrino. âBetween two Bobbyâsâ. Imagine the podcasts.
Just want to give another outsider perspective on the coaching search.
IF interested in Bobby Petrino, why would you not be vetting some of the top FCS coaches? Letâs not forget Curt Cignetti was 0 for 3 at JMU at the FCS level. FCS has more Chris Klieman, K.C. Keeler, Curt Cignetti types.
I live in FCS country these days, North Dakota. Bobby Petrinoâs 18-15 run at Missouri State was underwhelming. Maybe he just gave up like he did during his 2-8 final season at Louisville, but his final Missouri State team was preseason #3 and finished 8th in the Missouri Valley in 2022.
Petrino might be a name, but I would question his effort and desire based on his most recent results.
âBetween two Bobbyâsâ sounds like more of a porn hub broadcast
What about the falcons job? Didnât he leave that job without telling anyone? Seems like heâs not the most up and up kind of guy.
Knows how to coach offense though and he has done it on the biggest stage. So heâs got my vote based on the other candidates.
