NATIONALLY RANKED NINERS play the #5 ranked tarholes of unc-chapel hill.
This game is NOT BIG because we are playing our sister school. This game IS BIG because our NATIONALLY RANKED NINERS are playing the #5 ranked team in the country.
The game is at Chapel Hill at 6:00. This is a great chance for NINERS living in the Triangle or even Greensboro to see this team in action.
Utter says Mills is not pitching. Hibbs keeping him with routine, pitching him in Friday conference game.
Thanks Mike. You’re not so bad all the time.

Seems like we should bring our A game for one of our few tough games… I’ll trust Hibbs, though.

I agree that we should be going with Mills. I don’t see why Mills cannot pitch tomorrow and then on Sunday, especially since this previous weekend’s games were played one day earlier than normal (Thurs-Sat instead of Fri-Sun).
Bumping for Triangle are Niners and anyone thinking they may decide to drive to chapel hill to see our baseball game.
Alumni association actually sent out invites in the mail for 49ers in the triangle with complimentry ticket offer. I took them up on that and will be showing up for the game.
What if there is rain on Sunday? Are you willing to go through a weekend without Mills throwing?
Mills is the game one starter of each weekend series (Friday).
I somewhat agree on starting Mills for this game. I understand the philosiphy of sticking with the weekend rotation, but when it comes down to it we need a win tonight to help the RPI. Win or lose against RI, I think we still have to win the tourney to get into a regional based on our RPI. Yes we will get an at large bid if we win 45 games, but that is tough.
