Bobby Lutz:Is he still on Charlotte's payroll?

Look at last 5 years, hard to say Lutz didn’t plateau here. I think if he landed another gig during that time, he would have continued his success.

AM blew it up and we’ve increased our W’s every year and were in the NCAA tourney picture until Mayfield decided to light up something other than the basket.

I personally think we’re heading in a better direction, hope I’m right.
Are you being serious? our W’s have increased because we play a cupcake schedule. Our team is definitely on the decline.

The entire basketball program needs to be blown up and re built. Major needs to go, fast.
also, alan major is terrible in front of reporters. He has no energy and lacks communication big time. Recruits notice that. Judy missed bad on this hire.

Lutz was passionate on the sideline, how’d the recruits we like that?

Was schedule easier up front, yes it was. Still hardly anyone thought we’d perform as well as we did with it. Finished 8-8 in A10, in it’s strongest version since we’ve joined.

Lutz only had one 20 W year since we joined A10.

you cant even begin to compare the level of talent Lutz vs. Major. Major’s top 3 would have been Lutz 6.7.8. any season…
recruits watch tv, listen to the radio. so do their coaches. you can honestly sit there and tell me that Major is someone you would like to play for?

failed to reply to the second half of your post. Lutz decline was because of the athletic dept leadership. what kid wants to play in the A 10 unless you live in the Northeast. Had the AD made better decisions in the past, we would have had better options. The A-10 is a terrible conference and I would have rather fallen back to Southern conference.

Look at NC state’s recruiting and then let’s talk talent. Those former Charlotte guys are getting the job done up there and Judy and Phil know it.

you cant compare players. however you can compare recruiting styles. lutz brought in above average players for our program and is bringing in above average players for state’s program. What makes you think gottfried is bringing in those players? did he do it at alabama? no. if you can say that our players today or anyone under major are above average for our program, I will stop now. To be fair, Lamont came in as a Juco. His first year, he averaged 12.8 ppg with 36.4% 3pt land. Plus, it’s not just about points. Pierria has been in the top 10 in steals his first two years in collegiate basketball. That’s pretty impressive. Pierria’s offensive numbers will go up in time.

Willie also averaged 6.2 RPG while shooting 57.9%. That’s impressive for an 18-19 year old kid playing against a league with 5 NCAA tournament bids.

he was on fnz all the time.
he was always the face of the program.
When this years team was at the uptown tip off, more people recognized Dan DeVos than Alan Major.
Major will be a D-IAA coach in the next 3 years or back to an assistant.

Bring me better than that. geez, Lamont Mack averaged more than that.

Major will never get a kid that can average more than 12pts a game. Have you seen these kids shoot the basketball? cant win games like that. Steals aren’t worth anything if you cant score on the other end. True?
The numbers dont lie. Dubois knows it… trust me.
you dont get to his level and not know numbers…

When jumping jacks on the side lines and being flawless in front of reporters wins games, please let me know.

Lutz was passionate on the sideline, how’d the recruits we like that?

Was schedule easier up front, yes it was. Still hardly anyone thought we’d perform as well as we did with it. Finished 8-8 in A10, in it’s strongest version since we’ve joined.

Lutz only had one 20 W year since we joined A10.
failed to reply to the second half of your post.

Those former Charlotte guys are getting the job done up there and Judy and Phil know it.
sokool? Is that you?
no, why does he think like me?
Negative. Long-winded. Annoying. Yes.
