I was there last night. One of my kids is a huge Pistons fan.
There were MAYBE 5,000 people in the entire arena. I am including Bobcats staff, concession operators, ticket scanning people, security and the Jani-King people, Bobcats players & coaches, Pistons players & staff and all of the media that were covering the game.
The Cats tried a couple of times to make it competitive. However, whenever the game got close, Detroit brought another “weapon” off the bench.

1/4 full for a good pistons team is just down right pathetic… I really dont understand what the Charlotte public is looking for with this team. It gets under my skin that they dont care when theyre playing bad, but once the get to the playoffs, all I will see is navy and orange. And I am a real fan of this team… have been since Day 1. Yes, they are not good and they wont be good for years. I am sick of this town for not being passionate about anything… not caring for something that is new and their own. I often wish that the panthers were not playing well so you can see the difference with this town.

I really hope you guys are right because I would hate to sit at another game where me and my friends can kick our feet up and not bother anyone. It was like a library last night.

From birth, thru the promotion of the team, to the product on the floor- this has been botched. Where is the light at the end of the tunnel? Can’t see them on TV- you are more likely to read a story in the paper about huge staff cuts than a player move. The Owner and Pres are in town as often as Mike Easley. I can go on.

Every town USA. I hate to break it to you, Charlotte isn’t the only city where losing creates apathy. The manner that the Hornets left town clealry left a bad taste in the collective mouth, the Bobcats needed to come in and hit HR’s to win the community over after Shinn (and the arena decision)- they whiffed, and keep whiffing. I live 7 miles outside the city and can’t see a game. I got the Kentucky MSLU game. If you want a following you need to be regional. They are FNZ for all I know.
