OK, I know in the past they have supported Niner Basketball, but the University location should stock something 49er…and not crap that wont sell. They have an ad that ran in Sunday’s paper, it features Penn State, Ohio State and others, so I went to my area location (in Raleigh) to get my wife a PSU sweatshirt, regular $35, for $14.95. They said they only carry the universities in the area, I told them their ad was misleading, having had to drive to find this out. I asked the person here if the Charlotte locations would have UNC Charlotte sweatshirts (which look very nice, at lease the UNC na d State ones did)…So I called Charlotte to see if they had them…and the answer wasssssssss…No they had UNC and NCSU Sweatshirts…GRRRRR…so what do we do, does the Chancellor not realize the frustration that an alum, and dad of a current student has just trying to buy her a christmas present…holy s…!!! Something has to give…

Tried talking to Charlotte-area Dick’s in the past about stocking Charlotte gear.
Was always told there was not enough demand for the product and they have to stock what sells.
Personally, I’m sick of Dick’s because I’m tired of their same damn discount if you spend $50.00 or more.
Last summer, I went to minor league baseball at 3 different parks around NC, each park gave me as I was leaving a coupon for the exact same discount if I spend $50.00 or more.
For several years (until this year), those damn 3 point cards at The Arena had a same, damn discount if I spent $50.00 or more.
I went to Dick’s last week (to get a Niners Santa hat for $19.00) and on the receipt was a customer satisfaction survey with an incentive to fill to complete the survey. Guess what the incentive was…the exact same g** a* discount if I spend $50.00 or more.
I took their little survey and told them I wasn’t going back until tried something else for a promo.
It wouldn’t bother me so much, but they saturate the market with the exact same promo AND my most common sporting goods purchases are around $30-$40, so I have to buy more to get any value. I’m sure they want me to do that, so that’s why I stopped and go elsewhere whenever I can. Unfortunately, I knew of no where to get the Niners Santa hat.

There was an idea a couple years ago by dax, im sure a lot of you remember him, to open a store on campus that stocked just charlotte stuff, more than the bookstore/grays, but it never took off. Rumor has it that something of the sort might be happening next year if NNG gets an office in the new student union. Guess well just have to wait and see. Hopefully it will happen!!!

Last time I was at the Dick’s at University (this summer sometime), they had nothing Charlotte 49ers related in stock. I walked around the store several times thinking I was overlooking something, there was literally nothing.
