clt says you don’t travel bro. Marriott is leagues ahead of a courtyard property. .
I don’t disagree with you on the brick, but I am sure they are trying to fit in with what the University looks like. I am not sure anything else would look right. Can you imagine trying to find the place at night with all of the other brick buildings if you had never been to the area before?
For as much as it costs and as much as it has been hyped for years, I was expecting a better design. I knew it’d be brick like all the others, but that is one boring looking building.
Needs columns out front for that classic look.
That was the point of the comparison, bruh, because the design is trash for what should be excellent facilities.
clt Will fire the intern who added that to the chat page.
Not a fan for the money. It’s also walling off lots of usable land in between it and the counceling facilty for a “quad”
Pretty sure the money is also going for the RUP and datacenter next to it.
Better be nice for that price.
Read the article on the hotel in today’s SYC email. Looks pretty darn good to me. Certainly will be the hotel of choice for traveling away fans.
How does this compare to other hotel options on campus for our fellow state schools?
Seems like a real step in the right direction to me.
Not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but here is the cam of the student rec center going up.

clt says the university hilton is going to have competition.
clt says an accident has occurred at the indoor batting facility
Apparently the roof collapsed during construction. I drove by is a couple of hours ago and it was looking really good. Crazy that happened.
