Canada trip

Ian was leading scorer!!
Can't find the box score for the Sheridan game, but he was also 1 for 6(16%) and 2 for 11(18%) versus the first two Canadian teams.

SG Depth Chart: #1 Bowden, #2 Coleman, #3 Barnett, #4 Andersen?

Don’t quote me, but I believe the staff refers to Barnett as a SF. He’s starting to be able to play inside the arc too.

So is this the lineup?

PG: Harris, Gerrity
SG: Bowden, Coleman, Andersen
SF: Dewhurst, Wilderness, Barnett
PF: Coley, Mack
C: Jones, Goonj

Is that serious that we are going to run 12 deep?!! We can play full court press all game.

I will predict here that we make the field of 65 and win the at least one.

My guess:

SF: Wilderness, Dewhurst, Barnett
PF: Mack, Goonj
C: Coley, Jones,

EDIT: I screwed up the PF/C the first time!

To have Coley and Mack on the floor is will have to be arranged a little differently though. Coley will play center some. Too bad we cant play 8 on 8. The coaches are gonna have a tough time with spreading the minutes. I think Anderson’s minutes are gonna be limited this year for sure. There are sooo many line-ups we could have, it hurts my head to think about it. What I hope doesn’t happen, but probably will like always, is have a million substitutions a game. Resting a player is fine but it comes a point to where a player needs to get into the routine of the game.

it wouldn’t shock me to see Harris/Gerrity, Mack, Coley, Wilderness, and Jones all on the floor at once at times. It’d give us a lot of size and we’d still have a good deep threat with Mack.

My guess at the lineup:

PG: Harris or Gerrity

plus any four of the following: Bowden, Coleman, Andersen, Dewhurst, Wilderness, Barnett, Coley, Mack, Jones or Gaby

The starting lineup will be:
PG - Harris
SG - Bowden
SF - Wilderness
PF - Mack
C - Coley

Wilderness, Mack, and Coley are all 100% locks. Harris could be replaced by Gerrity, and Bowden could be replaced by Coleman (Ian starts the first game or two, but is replaced in the starting lineup by Bowden or Coleman).

No chance whatsoever Jones starts, in my opinion. There is no way Coley or Mack aren’t starting, and I doubt Coley or Mack go to SF.

I don’t know if Coleman can shoot it well enough for our 2. You have to come off screens and know how to get open that way, set your feet and fire it. I think Ian starts and gets most of the minutes still, with Bowden and Coleman getting time. Coleman is actually more suited for the 3.

I think Gerrity will get the most minutes at point, say 25 to 15. I don’t know who’ll start- doesn’t matter.

I think Bowden will get the most minutes at the 2, I’m just not sold on Ian- I see him as coming off the bench and let’s see what we get from him on any given night.

Wilderness, Mack and Coley for the others I guess. Hope Phil becomes what we all hope for and I think Dewhurst has big, big upside, he just needs to acclimate more to the college game. Maybe that comes with age.

Anything we get from Barnett this year will be a surprise to me, hope I’m very wrong about this. We’'ll see about Coleman.
