I like being honest and having pride in a program that does things the right way. Shame too many people think like you and support win at all cost no matter if you lose your soul in the process.
No thanks. Integrity still means something in my book, sad you think winning without honor and integrity is ok. Good luck with that.

Yeah we need integrity! Like leaving your team in the middle of June integrity! 
College sports isn’t clean anymore. No one who wins colors inside all the lines. It’s naive to think otherwise. If my primary objective is good natured and teaching values I can support a Y team or church league team. This is big time college athletics and it’s about time we start acting like it.

What Wade did is basically fine now so I’m ok with him.
What Greg Marshall did is the line I won’t cross.
I want to win, but there are limits to my desire. Things against the law, sexual harassment and racial harassment are lines we shouldn’t cross. It looks bad and it is bad.

Exactly. Plus with nil, a lot of what made wade “dirty” before, is now not against the rules.
I can’t speak to Jeff or Melvin but I know Bobby as operating in grey areas for players.
I used to tell my teams, I live in right or wrong world. If you have to ask me if something is right, it probably isn’t. No such thing as gray area.
I am all about winning but would never sacrifice my integrity to do it.
I hope Mike, if he is the one that gets to make the hire, feels the same way.

Just because something has been legalized now doesn’t mean that engaging in once-illegal or unethical behavior has become okay.

Well then you cant have it both ways. If you want to be squeaky clean and have recruits show up simply for the free degree, enjoy going 9-23 every year
I appreciate Fearne holding down the fort. But, alas, he’s not the answer. The entire program needs a reboot. Again.
This will be a fascinating hire for Hill. Apparently this is his passion. Basketball. So I expect him to make a significant investment with this decision. I don’t expect an out of left field choice. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it made us all scratch our heads. Again.
At this point, with the amount of money we are taking from students to operate the athletic department, I think the dirtiest thing we can do is run a squeaky clean department with no chance of winning anything in the only 2 sports that really matter. If we’re taking that much money in athletic fees, Mike should at least give them something worth their money in return. The entire system is filthy nasty dirty now and getting worse everyday. Either run the athletic department to win in revenue sports or shut the damn thing down.
I’m confused. It is not okay to do something that is legal now??? Should I tell my wife she can not vote now because it was illegal in the past. Extreme example but I just don’t get the logic.
If we are righteously above the legal structures to compete we might as well shut BB down and go DIII. I dont like NIL but it is here to stay and you better figure out how to compete or get gone.
Yet we have no problem with Biff bringing in elite high school athletes from all over the East Coast to play at a private Catholic high school in Baltimore , because none of that sounds shady
What Wade did was cheating at the time, now it is the norm, but look at his record everywhere he has coached, he is a flat out winner, and with NIL and the portal, it just caters to his aggressive recruiting approach
So many other great coaches were given second chances to coach and flourished at other universities, some school ( not us ) is going to snatch him up and be competing for championships in the near future
If we could afford him, and he was willing to come here, I would welcome him with open arms, and prepare myself for AAC conference championships and NCAA tournament bids
