I think I need a break from the negativity that spews from this board on a daily basis. Not to mention the updates on farts and sh!ts. How many times has someone posted “I just don’t care any more” then follow that up with about 100 more complaining posts. Many posts are more likely to incite than inform. Does anyone really think the AD will have any kind of a reaction to the posts on this board? Do you really think she will deal with any issues regarding the head coach in public forum? I know this board is privileged to have so many coaching, recruiting and administration experts posting here, but is it not time to change the dialogue and move on? If not, then you are most likely involved in an deliberate effort to run off the coach and/or AD.
I for one, will not play a part in such an effort.

Every sports message board is exactly the same. This one isn’t unique in any way.
Winning cures all… not just for a team’s chemistry problems or personal issues but for fans too…
Not sure how it can be a surprise the message board has degraded to what it is when the product we’ve put on the court has also degraded. Come back when things turn around.

Why are you complaining? Your seats next season should vastly improve.
I really enjoyed watching the NC State vs. Xavier game. That was some really good basketball. Bobby Lutz starting recruiting Tyler Lewis when he was in the 8th grade. I also looked in on the Davidson game and really was pulling for them to win. After the 49ers loose their last game, I start pulling for all the North Carolina teams that are still playing. I hope the 49ers improve so I can watch them play in March as well. …maybe next year.
I don’t think most people vent on this message board hoping the Athletic Department hears them (I could be wrong). Just want to throw that out there, in response to the first post.

I can respect this. I think my question is for many the options are either to fight for a change in leadership be it coach and/or AD or walk away from the program. All I care about is winning and getting to the NCAAs - we are at 9 years of that not happening and nothing I have seen recently makes me think we can achieve that in the near future. OK I also care about how we market and relate to our fanbase - not knocking it out of the park there either. For me personally it has come to a point where I can not blindly follow where they are leading because I don’t believe they are leading us to a good place. The choice then becomes walk away or fight for change. if I didn’t care about this school then I would take my money and time and just walk away, sadly it appears many are doing that. I do care though and I don’t want to see things degrade further. I want to see us achieve. We had talent to win this year and certainly talent to do better than we did. The coach is in over his head. Next year we bring in more talent and maybe that talent overcomes his lack of ability and we win - we might even sneak into NCAAs since we are in such a terrible basketball conference - it won’t change the fact though that he can’t coach the team to success, he has to have such a talent advantage that he can win. How sustainable of a model is that for us? Even if that work on a CUSA scale it won’t work once we make the tourny. If the AD can’t see this (I think they can, but at this point it’s Phil and ego calling the shots) then it’s very hard to give them a pass and let them continue to lead us to where we have been. In the end for me if this is what is acceptable to the AD then we never should have fired Bobby. He was giving us the same results for less money and at least he was an alum.
Why? The student fees get collected whether anyone shows up at Halton or not. If enrollment goes up, they won’t miss us anyways.
Regarding this message board, it has been very frustrating lately, not because of the negativity though. It seems like we all want the same thing but are still at each other’s throats. I don’t know if I can take another year of that personally. At least the football talk will be here soon enough.

It can be good to get away for a little while. I took a brief hiatus when the 6 game slide started because I knew it would just be all beatching up in here. Eventually you get pulled back in though. I mean, good or bad, this is the place to get Niner news the quickest.
