Forget the scoring, we have a PG right now who cant score OR drive OR play defense.
Carlos looks like he can drive and dish. Just what you want in a PG, take a look at what Marcus Williams was doing for UCONN today that’s what you want in a PG.
Carlos averaged 5.3 assist per game this season…and only played an average of 9 minutes a game…He is going to be a good player for us. Non of the players on the team averaged more than 10 minutes. If he played more minutes, his assists number would be sick.
Why is he only playing 9 minutes per game?
Why is he only playing 9 minutes per game?nobody on the team plays a lot of minutes. I think its also b/c wabash puts a lot of talent on the floor and Carlos already has a home next year, and others may not. The think i am more worried about is his number of turnovers. he averages one every 36 seconds.
I’m not sure the minutes are right…they don’t include them in the per game stats. If they are correct, he’s averaging 10 points, 5 assists in 9 minutes. That is for games through Feb 7th. As ninereast said, they play a lot of guys to showcase, esp for the ones who are looking for an offer in the Spring.
It will be interesting to see his stats in the tournament when every game counts. Anyone find tourn stats?
Nice update over at NinerReport.com.

THATS WHAT I’M TALKIN ABOUT!!! Bring NinerNation a PG who can create off the dribble for his teammates and himself, and I’ll show you a team thats hard to stop.
He’s likes the ball in his hands and gets people involved. It’s going to be fun to watch a TRUE PG run the show.
Bump

C. Williams about to dominate
Anybody got a picture of Carlos? Only thing I can find is a small group/team photo. Thanks
Link to photo. Seems like I have seen another one of him somwhere. http://www.iecconline.net/wvcbasketball/html/playerprofiles.pdf
I think he’ll be in town soon if not already here.

Separated at birth from Jerrell Lewis?
Someone needs to talk to him about that whole Kobe Bryant thing.
I saw in another thread that Carlos is the #1 PF(?) JUCO which I don’t know if I knew cause I have never been one to pay too much attention to recruiting. I have just heard a lot of buzz about him. Anyways, my question is, being that he is the ranked so high among JUCOs, what does that mean? How good should I expect him to be? I knew very little about recruiting before I joined NNN and didn’t even know what JUCO stood for until a few weeks after if that gives you an idea of how much I know.
He is the #1 PG. Most people expect him to start for us from his first game, and most people hope he is better at distributing the ball than any PG we have had in a while.
Shawn Colson, in my opinion the best point guard we have had in the last 20 years was a JUCO. And I think he was only a top 5 JUCO PG when he came in. Also Galen Young and Kelvin Price were JUCO players. However, several of our JUCO’s have been highly touted and havent panned out. I would say if your a top 10 rated JUCO player, there is a pretty good chance your gonna be sucessful at the D-1 level. I would expect Carlos to be good this year, with some ups and downs due to adjusting to the competition. But his senior year I would expect him to be a pre-season first teamer, and with any luck a post season first teamer. Unfortunetly we are pretty much reduced to recruiting from all areas due to the geography. As highly touted as Carlos is, I think its fair to say he will bring a pretty high level of play with him. Now some of these other shooting guards and small forwards we are bringing in may struggle.
Actually of that list I believe KP was a true transfer (from SW Louisiana) and Sean Colson a 1 year JUCO (Rhode Island first). Galen Young was a 2 year JUCO though.
Cam Stephens was another standout who was a JUCO for one year (via Purdue).
Not sure if an update was posted on his surgery he had a few weeks ago. Minor as it turns out. 4 weeks of rehab. So he should be close be back in action about now. They can practice in groups of 4 with a coach and of course run pickups games on a regular basis.
