Agree on the receivers offering more help. I was watching the game at a packed bar uptown and everyone around me yelled when Bryce through an incompletion to XL. Comments were, WTF -why, don’t waste your time, Take his ass out, lol. When a whole bar sees it - you know its a problem.

This was probably their plan all along, but I’m thinking the injury to Ekwonu sealed it.
They have some serious needs that they are going to have to address:
DE/Edge - need productivity here badly.
OT / LT - Ekwonu’s injury is a bad one
LB - Need a dynamic LB
RB - Doubt they keep Dowdle even though I like him
WR - if they don’t keep XL
TE that can catch passes - see above

I’ve said it for years that Luke is the best Panther ever. So glad he got in the second year. Every year that passes seems to make it harder to get in, see Roger Craig. With Terrell Suggs and Darren Woodson also on the ballot, I wasn’t confident Luke would get in. Plus, next year might have 4 first ballot winners in Adrian Petterson, Gronkowski, Richard Sherman and Rothlisberger.
Kuechly is absolutely beloved in this town. Really happy to see him get in. Made the entire city happy.
Smitty needs to get in next. Not as beloved, but just as deserving in terms of production. Plus every franchise needs a character in there.
