From a sports perspective in this city - I thought George Shinn would always hold the title belt of most despised because of how things ended. Tepper might already be there.

I always given Shinn something of a pass because he allowed the Niners men’s basketball team et al use of the Hornets’ plane to attend the funeral of Charles Hayward in Louisiana back in 1999.

I’m sure Rock Hill has two thoughts on this - 1 middle finger on each hand variety.
Also - I’m guessing Tepper will charge $40-$50 for people to attend training camp.
Shinn also had a parasite named Ray Woolridge attached to him that orchastrated to move to New Orleans.
Tepper has been far worse !

Tepper is wayyyy worse than Shinn. I actually think Shinn got a bit of a bum wrap here. He wanted a new arena to stay competitive. The city said no, so he left and then the city promptly decided to build one.

I haven’t kept up with the debate about this, but this seems pretty savvy. We either get him for a decent price or we get 2 first rounders. No team is going to overpay for fear of giving up those 2 picks.
Proud to live in the state of Charlotte ! 
The stadium being opened up for other events is strictly to improve the life of the average person and has nothing to do with Tepper’s love of making money.

This franchise is a trainwreck.
hindsight is 20/20. IMHO, The reason they offered 2 1st’s in '22 was he was still on his rookie contract making $2.3m in '22 and 16m last year. Rams were trying to steal him, now NYG’s will be paying 30m a year. I wish they would have figured out a way to work it out but you can’t pay everyone, unless you are in college. They have been transparent, the O-line is a priority to protect QB. With the loss of Luvu let’s hope they land Patrick Queen.
