Dood…that link was reported in 1998

here ya go dood…

In July 2004, Toyota announced the Celica (as well as the MR2) would be discontinued in the United States at the end of the 2005 model year because of increasing competition and lack of sales. [1] Celica sales hit 52,406 units in 2000, but dropped sharply to 14,856 in 2003. As of November 2004, just 8,216 Celicas had been sold for calendar year 2004. Many attribute the 2004 loss in sales to the introduction of the cheaper Scion tC. This is a flawed theory, because Toyota had prepared the Scion tC as a successor to the Celica.

Ah, So what I should of said was

Accord Euro-R

it’s ok dood…I did a lot of research before I bought one…

Well I just said type R, but its called Euro-R. Type S is the European verison. I was reffering to the Type R upgrade version

Speaking of Type-R and Type S… I hate when I see people put badges on their cars that don’t belong. I’ve seen a few mustangs with Cobras that weren’t, but there is one Mustang with Type-R and I saw an Eclipse that had a V-tech badge! These are also the same people that think they can race against a real car.

Now that f’in funny…

There are actually a lot of people who turn their cars to their JDM counterpart.

I seriously considered getting the Integra badge for my car. I dont like letter only names for cars. I liked the name Integra a lot too, and the name RSX let me down. But its grown on me enough not to go to all that trouble.

I won’t tell you how easy it is 49or… Because it’s very easy

I’m considering removing the badges on mine, so the only way you can tell it’s not the 6 cylinder is by the exhaust.

Is it really?? Man... I'd love for it to say Integra Type-R on the back of my ride. Or is it still Type-S....?

ChevEE, you’re against this kind of thing? Even if my car is technically a Integra Type-R or S?

That is messed up. If all you have is a stock plain old Mustang and then put a Cobra badge on there or a Roushe sticker along the side. Its like breast implants of puffy bras. It may look like nice, but its a lie and you know it!! Its false advertisment!

I guess in that case. My problem more lies when it’s not even a badge from the same manufacturer… But yeah it’s easy. You just start peeling the badge off. Usually (don’t quote me), but usually they do not use pegs. I’ve only seen like 3M double sided tape on the back. If it’s on the trunk or side. Then scrub the surface of the body with soap and water real good and it’s done. It may take a few washes for all residue to go away. To put it on, make sure it’s clean and then apply rubbing alcohol to a towel and rub the area where the new one goes. This removes wax. Apply badge and ta-da! I prefer the more greasy car stuff, but certainly appearance is a big part! And i never neglect the looks.

I don't even think I need to look, but I'm nearly positive my badge on the back uses pegs. My friend took the badge off the back on his 90' Acura Legend and there are holes there. I assume I would need to find a way to get the pegs out with the badge and also figure out how to attach the other one, which is probably much larger. Is it still easy now?

Also, I am a member at the RSX forum tho I never post. I could always get great help there if I need to.

That moves it from more easy to easy with a touch of art. See I don’t think they use pegs anymore, but remember I’m a domestic kind of guy. The best way to find out is look at replacement badges. See if they have pegs and go from there.

In high school, my brother put a TURBO badge on his '91 CRX SI. Shaved a full 2 seconds off his 0-60 time…

I have so been waiting for this.... I love cars! Chevy all the way! (In case you couldn't tell by the screen name)

I worked really hard and my wife agreed to the purchase of my dream car as a graduation gift to myself. It is a 1998 Chevy Camaro Z28. 5.7L V8 (LS1) with a t-56 six speed transmission. She pumps over 300 horse power to the wheels and even more torque. Flat out she is fast than the Z06 the year it was made.

I do all of my own auto work! Thanks Gill!

Great use of the odd “Q” prefix on 49er license plates!

Thanks! Not many people know that you have work with that, but I was very proud of myself when I thought of that.

Here’s a photo of my car at one of the Horsepower club meets back in Feb.
