Chants for Wednesday

we could create our own version of the rock chalk chant (Kansas U). If anyone wants to meet up with me someday to try and create it lets see what we could put together.

How about, ā€œKill Calipari, Kill Calipariā€

Works on two levels for me.

did you lose the blowfish again?

Halton Arena - The Temple of Doom

on what level did you get that idea?

Fixed.

this is probably the best suggestion i have come up with. we should do a sort of accapella chant type thing. goes like this…

NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
NNNNNNNNNNNNN
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
NNNNNNNNNNNNN
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
RRRRRRRRRRRRRR
SSSSSSSSSSSSSS
NNNNNN
IIIIIIIIII
NNNNNN
EEEEEEE
RRRRRR
SSSSSS
N - I - N - E - R - S

GOOOOOOOOOOOOO NINERS!!!

and we do the hand motions the cheerleaders do with it. i think if it caught on it would look and sound really cool.

We did a chant for Curt when he did super awesome, so how about we pre-make one for when De’Angelo does awesome too.

I say, like the defense chant:

D-D-D…De’AngeLO!

:moon:

well ya’ll don’t do that particular defense chant anyways. I think a simple D-A would be satisfactory for him. while we are at it whenever Marcus does a play chant ā€œsnakeā€ and whenever coleman does something chant ā€œdumptruckā€. those are all their nicknames.

Oh I got it!

We’ll get the band to play sweet home alabama

but we’ll sing sweet home halton.

or something to that extent.

Oh and next time we play Dayton sing
Leaving on a Jet PLane! ha ha

Im on a roll!

And who can forget Loui Loui or whatever it is

Always the classic We will rock you
and the HEY song.

This is more soccer, but something Like Campiogne by E-type. Download it, and you’ll hear at the start what kinda chants im talking about.

there was another techno song they played at the last game where they play at maryland and wake a lot and i’d think it would be cool everyone in arena sang along with it.

Zombie Nation

Zombie Nation is the remake of the original which I dont know what is called.

i think everyone should sing along to zombie nation when they play it. i think that would sound cool.
I saw CMACK and a couple of others join the Dayton parade. It was hilarious!:lmao:
I actually got high fives at the end from about half of them, that was the best moment.

We should have chants for our best/most loved guys ready at all times:

Withers: Cur-tis With-ers clap clap…

Alexander: D-A! D-A!

Leemire: I heard ā€œGOLD! WIRE!, GOLD! WIRE!ā€ last game, that was pretty cool

Coleman: ā€œDump-Truck!ā€

Add more if you have any. I’ve tried to get some of these started before, hopefully somebody who reads this will hear me next game and go along with them.

We still need to pick one Temple-specific chant and do a test run with a signal of some sort to start it…

We should chase them down all the time

I think

Phil-lys ghet-o clap–clap–clap-clap-clap

could work nicely.

Lets get to the game early and start chanting early. If we can get about 20 people there by 10 after 7 we could coordinate then. 20 people doing a chant will get people going fast. The player specific ones are really needed. the GOLD-WIRE was awesome… we must do that this game.

Other good pregame chants -

Nov-as bet-ter clap–clap–clap-clap-clap

or chants about Curtis Withers being awesome and stuff would generally be good as well

Since everyone has these ideas for chants why not hold an open meeting for students and crazy alumni (like me) at the food court one hour before tip off in front of the Pizza Hut. If this seems to work for everyone quote this message and post yeah/no. If not lets get this organized. This can be our goal for the year. Getting chants organized. Last year was wear green. Next year we can do something else when the chants are flowing.
