Are the Hornets hiring a coach?
Probably only way Norfolk Southern gives in on the Red Line would be for the state to sell outright the NC Railroad - Charlotte to Morehead City via Greensboro and Raleigh - to current operator NS. Of course, more advantageous for the state to continue ownership of the NCRR - no matter the operator - than it would be to acquire the Red Line.
Anyway, I’m old enough to remember when NS predecessor Southern Railway ran daily freight trains north out of Charlotte to either Statesville or Winston-Salem - those lines diverged in Mooresville - and not the current occasional local to the various industrial customers currently served on the line.
If NS felt compelled to rehabilitate the Charlotte to Greensboro route via Mooresville and Winston-Salem to maintain the continuity of their Washington DC to Atlanta mainline, then I suspect the ensuing litigation - most likely municipality instigated - would drag on for some time.
Maybe they’re waiting for Utah to let Quin Snyder go.
Is either Stephen Silas or BJ Bickerstaff available?
It really does look like they are waiting on Snyder. He would be a great hire if he becomes available. Sounds like if he does leave Utah there’s a possiblility he could wait around & go to San Antonio when Poppovich retires.
Please god not Dantoni
Honestly this is difficult to get excited about.
Steve Clifford - 46% W-L
James Borrego - 45%
Kenny Atkinson - 38%
D’Antoni has a respectable 56% but he’s 71
Atkinson had the nets going in the right direction. Then Durant and Kyrie landed and the ownership changed and he resigned. I would not put much stock into his final year. He had one of the worst teams in the NBA when he took over and took them back to the playoffs in year 3. He’s also known as a good developer of young talent which they need.
City leaders want to build an underground bus station on the site of the Charlotte Transportation Center, the main bus station uptown. Like the Denver below-ground bus terminal, it would have an air-conditioned waiting area for passengers, along with other amenities. The Gold Line streetcar, the city’s bus lines and the Blue Line light rail would all cross in one block.
But there appear to be significant problems with the Mile High City’s subterranean bus depot.
In December, the head of Denver’s local transit union called the city’s underground bus terminal a “lawless hellhole” that is full of “prolific loiterers.”
Denver media have written extensively about problems at the bus station, which include people using and dealing drugs and people who are unhoused using it as a place to stay.
Who would have thunk it!
Maybe take the offenders out into the mountain country and see if they make it back.
Turn on the fire sprinklers on a rainy day. Problem solved.
Great news. Now if Jordan will keep hands off maybe they can take the next step.
It’s time for the Hornets to have some draft luck and nail these two picks this year.
Or, trade them and Hayward for a decent center.
And they need to let Atkinson play JT Thor as much as he wants. That young man has a lot of potential.
Fingers crossed Kai Jones progresses over the off season, the physical tools are there, he needs his feel to improve.
Here comes the Lutz Gif
clt will support the hornets when Jordan sells his portion.
