Charlotte @ MTSU 11/7 3:30PM - postponed

Money buys talent and coaching, which both have been quite successful at. Libertyā€™s endowment is astronomical. We just donā€™t have that huge financial backer(s) right now. Basing financial success by means of our alumni just isnā€™t going to happen. Iā€™m hoping that we are surprised with large donors in the near future that will allow us to do more with more, instead of more with less. :crossed_fingers::call_me_hand:

I think CLT may be leading the FBS in postponed/ canceled games because of the virus. Either CLT doesnā€™t know how to run a proper protocol, or itā€™s a ā€˜French excuseā€™ to throw the towel in on the season. Either way, it doesnā€™t speak well of the CLT program.

I think the problem is larger than us. CUSA had seven games scheduled today. Three are or will be played. The rest are cancellations or postponed. Something doesnā€™t seem right. I am pretty sure FIU has had more cancellations than we have.

Weā€™ve had to cancel two games. I doubt that is the worst. Our opponents have cancelled two games on us.

Next week will be cancelled.

Yeah the seed is already planted.

Donā€™t you think we are more willing to play short-handed verse FCS Gardner-Webb than a FBS conference game?

The whole defensive coaching staff is affected some were positive & the rest were exposed so not sure how they would work that

Holy crap.

Well, that explains a lot.

Has the defensive staff showed up to a game this year???

We average giving up 31+ points per game.

Harsh, but Iā€™d be lying if I didnā€™t think the same thing

Haha yea that was the thread winner.

Also we have school and state rules in addition to the conference when it comes to CoVid. We have to play the hand weā€™re dealt this year and itā€™s not the best.

Our problem is the contact tracing, which has nothing to do with state rules. The school and conference rules (if thatā€™s the problem) can be updated to match every other league.

We will have to wait until all the details come out but isnā€™t it a little disturbing this deep into the season and after all that is known about COVID-19 that the coaching staff has a major outbreak that results in a game being canceled?

Itā€™s hard to say. Unless you are living in bubble. I mean my kids are playing with friends my wife is seeing her friends. They certainly could bring something in. Itā€™s impossible to stay 100% secure unless you just stay in.

I donā€™t agree with that at all. Our coaches canā€™t socially distance from each other and run a football program.

I think itā€™s clear CUSA rules are more stringent than other leagues based on how this has shaken out.

Weekly coaches date night is covid friendly

They havenā€™t done that this year for this reason.
