Please let this work out. I NEED this in my life!!!
Anyone know if coach is okay after missing the radio show last night?
He wasnât at the press conference today, still âunder the weatherâ.
Poggi really impressed me when things were tanking in the first quarter. Every time the struggling offense came off the field, he walked over to a position group where an assistant coach was coaching them up. Instead of inserting himself, instead of hovering, instead of an ass chewing or a ra ra speech, he just sat with the kids calmly. It wasnât what I expected to see, but it sure look like it eventually worked for each group. I canât really explain it better, and at the time it was a little perplexing, but his presence and support for both the players and the coaches I think were exactly what they needed to trust themselves and the process they have in place. They need Poggi well and ready Saturday night
Great observation. Heâs built a relationship with his players where he trusts them under pressure during the game.
Can someone provide an update on Poggi? Will he make the game?
Cameron Williams was told it was food poisoning, if thatâs the case I anticipate heâll be good to go.
Itâs probably the super bug stomach virus. Itâs not a fun way to lose a few pounds in 3 days. Food poisoning is much worse. Itâs the only time I wanted to die. I lost a lifeguard job because I had to choose between going home sick or losing the job. After 3 days, I arose and struggled to Brocker Health in 95 degree heat, 2 sweat shirts on, jeans and shivering and sweating at the same time. Pure FNG hell. That was 20 pounds lost in like a week.
clt says we need to protect biffâs meals like the president
no more cookie ratings until the season is over!!!
Great read. A lot of bold statements. Biff really knows how to get ya worked up.
Yeah. That was an A effort article. Journalist A effort
By comparison, Wake Forest Universityâs âRoll the Quadâ NIL group is granting âmultiple playersâ on the Deaconsâ football and basketball teams with at least $100,000 annually, Triad Business Journal reported in July.
This is LOWF ( little ol Wake Forest) that most âexpertsâ say/ agree will be pushed out of the 2 super conferences at the end. This numbers are crazy to compete. Disheartening or eye opening. You decide.
NIL needs to be replaced with revenue sharing. I refuse to believe NIL is sustainable at current levels. Thatâs why some of these offers get pulled.
Only the top dozen or so players in the country are really worthy of individual NIL deals (and doing the work off the field to earn it). The rest would be well taken care of with an equal player revenue share.
You canât have revenue sharing unless the business is in the black.
Most college ADs are not in the black.
See Cal and Rutgers with their massive debt.
Revenue sharing would require a complete restructuring of the financial model for most ADs.
Plus there is the problem if they are receiving student fees.
Plus there is the problem of high revenue but high debt programs getting their debt serviced.
Plus there is the problem of where they are just in the red even without debt.
I would love to see a quality analysis of what programs could ACTUALLY implement revenue sharing.
Edit.
Also. Coaches salaries will have to come down. No way around it.
And likely sports will have to be cut.
So they will need the NCAA to lower the required number of sports for revenue sharing programs.
Then there will be a legal challenge from the other programs on why THEY canât cut sports.
It will be a mess.
The house of cards which is college athletics is about to meet the laws of economic physics. Itâs not going to be pretty. Itâs already ugly as $4!7.
