Charlotte vs. EZU (12/1)

The O ran stories after we beat each of them last year. I imagine they would run similar stories if we did it again. I am no way suggesting Katz at SI runs a story.

Now if we remain undefeated heading into conference play that is another matter.

It is customary for hometown newspapers to ALWAYS run stories about EVERY game played by the hometown team.

^^^ LOL!

Oh wait are you being serious?

I don’t usually expect this team to score 70+ points, but this game…

75-53. Charlotte.

Should be a close game.

The 3 ball is their only equalizer. We’ve given up a lot of open looks this year so far but been lucky they haven’t gone in. We can’t let them have easy looks.

Agreed. Our primiter defense will need to improve for this game. Paul, Richardson or Shamwow will hit them if we continue to rotate slowly.

Not worried about the inside. We are bigger and stronger than they are. We should be able to hold them to one shot per possession.

What world are you living in where our perimeter defense needs to improve?

IN the tourny we gave up some really open looks when we rotated slowly. I don’t think its poor by any means, just need to tighten up getting out on shooters when the ball swings.

The worst we gave up was 33%, in the title game. Teams are typically shooting around mid 20s for 3pt%. Yes, we are letting certain people take shots less contested, but you’ll notice those people tend to be the ones who aren’t as likely to hit a shot.

Oh I agree. I think the statement was just that ECU can stretch the floor with several shooters. We just have to make sure we stay on them because they can get hot… hell we know Bowden can.

Eh, I’m not worried about their “shooters.”

We have three guys shooting over 40% from behind the arc, maybe they should be worried about ours.

Thanks wupass. Yes that is what I was trying to say.

I ain’t skeered of Lebo, his boys and Bowden. You were taking my boy and I on the Normbulance maiden voyage invading Greenville last year witnessing their shooting… .The only thing I concern about is if us Niners have enough to drink and Greenschlager to go around at the tailgate ;D
Go Niners!

We held them to 31% shooting and beat them last year on the road. They didn’t get better, and we definitely didn’t get worse. Laugher.

Cool we won.

EZU is projected to shoot 18% on that website.

Our guys occasionally miss a switch or whatever, but I think what we do well is beat the hell out of perimeter guys as they are doing everything else. That beating and banging takes a toll when the guy goes to shoot lowering his percentage. Even if their is no one in his face the shooter is thinking about somebody jumping in his face so he hurries the shot. We are very good at these things.

Not the time to get cocky. We haven’t reached that stage yet.
