You watch a whole lot more AAC hoops than I do. USF picked to win the league with North Texas and Rice also getting first place votes. UTSA tabbed fifth, so expected to be upper division. Now that itโs league play rest of the way, weโll see whoโs the best. Just wonโt be the Niners.
Eh those are just predictions. Theyโre metrics to aim for but they almost never come true.
We lost. This was a screenshot I took midway through the 4th or so. This is why we lost.
Also had something like 24 turnovers
Man, if UTSA is one of the best in this league it isnโt a very good league. Surprised today by how not good they are. Both coaches were more entertaining than the game.
Our supposed injured big was not on the bench, so I take from that she is done for the year and possibly done completely.
Niners play USF on New Yearโs Day in Tampa. That will be a much better indicator of how the team stacks up against the leagueโs best.
BTW, full tilt today as the so-called โTrail to Fort Worthโ begins:
Sorry for those horrible screenshots, my phone isnโt large enough to fit it all on the screen at once
Itโs too early to determine the leagues worth right now. You really do have to let a few games be played among the conference teams to get a better picture of overall quality of it. Not sure if Daphne will be cleared to play or not, but it would be unfortunate if she wasnโt able to play her final season. Iโm sure she would add to the team and provide a boost, sure she would have to get her game feet back after missing last season.
That many turnovers does not help at all!

Yea, I stand corrected. I did not see those stats before Sundayโs game and was going by my impression of that one game. Maybe UTSA had a โoffโ day.
Sitting behind their bench for the first half and listening to Astinโs running commentary may have had something to do with my impression, too.
She is always hilariously grumpy when her team makes mistakes and when they do well on a play, she usually says something like โSee how simple that is!โ
Anyway, thanks for the info.
Why do we have the honor of playing South Florida on their floor for two consecutive years? Winning tonight would be more of an upset than winning there last year was.
