Yep. Excellent coach. Tream plays exceptionally smart.
Women getting probably the best AAC team right off the bat. That will followed by a road game at South Florida. Ouch!
Yes. Those may wind up the top two in the league and both have reasons to want to throttle us. It may not be pretty.
Open AAC play vs UTSA tomorrow afternoon in Halton.
Is there any reason why weβre so bad this year? The new coach was supposed to be amazing, although she came from SWAC. We lost the biggest names of the team (which were like two players) but retained quite a bit of the rest. Itβs not like Cara brought anyone over to Marquette.
Disagree with βquite a bitβ. Probably two good players and one with promise for future years. With one exception, the transfers have been less than talented.
Coaches leaving in the middle of the off season is never something good, though in this case, we may be better off in the long run.
Mostly, our current team doesnβt seem to be able to put the ball in the basket for whatever reason. Defense is high risk, high return and good teams use our press against us. Davidson spent the entire first quarter shooting open shots and scored 30 on about 80 percent shooting. Hoping things turn around sooner rather than later.
Although just one Niner followed Cara to Marquette, only four stayed. Of those, two were significant contributors - Keanna Rembert the lone retuning starter and Imani Smith de facto first off the bench. Collectively averaged 13.5 ppg last year, while itβs 13.7 ppg this season. Coach brought in 10 new players, including three who followed her from Jackson State. Of that trio, Hayleigh Breland is the leading scorer at 11.9 ppg, with holdover Rembert next at 9.9 ppg.
BTW, last yearβs leading scorer Dazia Lawrence is having a nice season at UK:
This is hard watching these ladies
Fortunate it was only 19-11 after UTSA jumped out to a 17-3 lead.
As she should. She was on the USA 3x3 team last year
Kentucky is a fun team to watch with Lawrence and Georgia Amore
clt says the RIVN commercials are entertaining
Hanging around.
