This language is a bit confusing.
Tenn won the game by 15 and all but one point of the difference came by Tenn winning the 3rd quarter by 14.
Weird game but good 2Q for us.
Our ladies are not good!
We not winning
Yeah weโre the worst in the conference NET at like 262. This prob made it much worse
Wildcats must have played their team managers during the second quarter.
In all seriousness, this is definitely a total rebuild for the Niners.
Our only hope is that other AAC teams are just as bad as we are. Similar to menโs team looking like all we have is somebody elseโs reserves. Do better coach.
I went to the Davidson site for the recap, said they were 81.2 percent going 9 of 11 in the 1st quarter. Davidson scoring 30 in the first was a surprise, can say didnโt see that coming! The Cup looks pretty nice, other than that, Davidson just won the game. They arenโt a bad team in looking at who they have played,
I was looking at other Mid Majors and completely forgot that some sites rank a top 25. From what my thoughts were before just looking at the College Insider rankings as of December 17th. A few teams on there like I had thought in looking at who they played, such as Norfolk St and Quinnipiac as I thought, I had just looked at Belmont this week, and they are there also.
This Charlotte team is not there now clearly, USF beating Duke today was a surprise, didnโt really expect for coach Lawsons team not to be ready to play, some of these teams are having slow starts with the breaks going on, saw that with South Carolina Thursday game. But itโs still up for each team to be ready to play, itโs the nature of the game.
Some of the other teams in Conference have done well, now itโs time to see how they all compare in the first couple of weeks. This years Non Conference schedule had some good teams in it. Itโs only conference games now, I want to see the first few games to see how they compare to my initial thoughts about each team so far.
Well, looking at the roster and what they had done in the past, my feeling was that there is not a ton of talent on this team. Sitting behind the bench today, my feeling was confirmed.
Iโd really like us to recruit well for a couple of years specifically to win the 704 cup. Davidsonโs coach was reaming out one of the refs in the final minute with them a zillion points ahead. Sheโs weird, too. Fits well in the Davidson program.
Side note: I was trying to GTFO of their arena. They have a glass enclosure with entrance doors, but no exit. Fucking doors to nowhere. Same architecht as Hotel California, I suppose. Just plain weird.
Probably for plants, but in that case, put some damned plants in there.
If something doesnโt happen to change the trajectory of this season, we may wind up on the bottom of our league. I really hope to be wrong.
With as bad as we play, I honestly hope we do end up bottom of the league if we donโt get better. Iโd rather be a bad team in a great league for a couple years than a mediocre one in a horrible league.
The only problem with that is we can be on the bottom of the AAC and it can still be a less than great conference. We were mediocre at best last year and then the team was blown up by a mystifying โpromotionโ of the head coach to P5. The long term prospect will depend on recruiting, of course and ,obviously, player retention.
clt asks how long is the coachโs contract?
Lol, why is the Davidson coach weird?!! Iโm sorry, that just tickled me!! Yes recruiting is always important, you need the players to bring your vision to fruition. I do remember looking up the 704 cup and this game before the season as I was learning things about the Charlotte program. I think the Davison coach is really attached to the 704 cup now, so Charlotte is gonna have to rip it away from them.
You would have to see her speak and coach. Davidsonโs a nice little town-a bit too nice-almost antiseptic. Gives me the creeps, to be honest. Living there would be like living in a doll house.
Davidson coach Gayle Fulks is from Virginia Beach, played at Fairleigh Dickinson in NJ, and served as an assistant with NY Liberty, Longwood, UNCG, and Wake before landing at DC.
