Yes. 6’5" center.

Can’t shoot. 15-53 on FGs, with 5-17 on 3s. Ughhh!

Is there a hornets nest type thing for the WBB with Davidson? Do we have any rivalries with WBB?

The Charlotte vs Davidson series in WBB is the Battle for the 704 Cup. This year’s game is on December 21st at Davidson. Niners lead 19-13, with the Cats winning the last three Cups, including 83-56 last season.

Is there a trophy for the 704 cup?

Not sure. Would think so but can’t find a picture.

I did find this:

Cool! I found the trophy on the Davidson Insta page from a year ago :frowning:

Can’t wait to go to the game!

Davidson’s coach is apparently very good because when she took over they were rancid. Hopefully, they lost a lot through graduation.

Tulane handedly defeats Mercer. Seems that conference play will be challenging.

Yeah the non conference for the teams, all have played some good teams. Not sure if the other teams in conference are still not there yet like Charlotte, or some started good and are playing well for whole games. That is the main thing right now with guessing, just say it’s a mix of everything right now. I know Memphis has to wait until January for the highly coveted transfer player due to Academics, how will that change them?

Preseason had USF 1, and Rice and North Texas tied for 2nd, only thing I know for sure is that USF played the toughest non conference schedule, so there losses don’t tell you anything until they start conference, but that is the same for all teams. I want to see how good they all are, and how the conference tournament plays out.

Looks to be some pretty good Mid Major teams currently, but there might actually be a legit gap between the Power 4 and Mid Majors this year, besides a few select teams as of now, but that could change because teams can still get better.

I just watched the last 7-8 minutes of the game, but the women looked a little more aggressive and overall better than earlier in the season. Of course their shooting percentage is still very poor. This has to improve if they are to win many games in conference.

Update from earlier this week about Memphis, I remember hearing that Dee Dee Hagerman wasn’t playing until January due to Academics, but she played last night in the Tennessee game. So not sure how long she has been playing, but they were right there with them until the 3rd quarter with a 14 point difference. Two were tied, and the other one they were only down by 1 point. Now Tennessee is not a Great defensive team, they are really offensive, but they still scored and played well at home.

Going to be so interesting to see how the first two weeks of conference play unfolds, should answer a lot of questions.
