Interesting post game comments from the coach. Team is totally out of synch.

I will read the article like I did for the Miami game, could not find any video post game interviews for that game, also the game vs Miami should be live now, i’m going to download it now from youtube

From the box score, they only scored 8 points in the 3rd to the 19 from SE LA, did good in the 4th with 23 to 14 from SE LA, but not enough to make up for the 3rd qtr.

Coach remarked after the game that certain players quit on her today. Not a happy camper. Said team lacks heart.

Yeah it’s defiantly not what she is used to, because most are new to her and her coaching. It really goes back to her saying she was trying to find the balance with this group with how tough she was with them. You surly don’t want to break player confidence, because they are new, so you want that balance between toughness and nurture for them.

Things change once the season starts, tough summer and practices are one thing, but once the season starts things change. It’s not easy, especially when you want to compete for the conference title now, and things are taking longer than expected at this point.

So I told everyone last week when I looked up the other two teams that it would be good competition for them either way. If the team was performing up to standards all 4 qtrs and you still lose, what can you do about that? But when you have these breakdowns, and make things harder for you, that is another thing.

Don’t know how they will respond for Thursday’s game against Mercer, the last team with a new coach this year they will face. I’m really interested in how they fight through this rough patch and get to play good basketball all 4 qtrs. They have until the end of the month, because once conference play starts, it’s showtime and everything counts.

Not only for conference tournament seeding, but for how well this team will handle the tournament format. As of now, it’s not looking good at all for that the way they are playing, too inconsistent.

Well everyone will be watching and seeing how they continue to progress along the way, still a lot for them to do, including showing toughness all game. I look forward to others thoughts right now, negative or positive, that’s what this forum is for, discussion!

Started watching in the third quarter. Both teams look very bad.
Niners with 10 point lead going to the 4th.

Education day… those poor children subjected to this game

Playbook; Pass the ball around perimeter until shot clock runs out and throw up desperation shot.

They’re kids so time away from the classroom is fun!

Niner men’s hoops probably should have done β€œEducation Day” with the Livingstone game.

Gals win 43-42 after giving up all of the lead. Whew!

Lots of stupid plays by the Niners in the 4th. Shots early in the shot clock and fouls to put the opposition on the line with the clock stopped. Just fundamentals

Five points in the final frame and 2 of those came with 36 seconds to go after Mercer had gone on a 10-0 run to lead 42-41. Lucky to get out of Macon with a W.

This team lacks a go to player. Are there any players injured right now that could help?
