Sounds like a workhorse back and has some skill at corner. He was teammates with current 49er QB Lee McNeil.

Good article from last year.

Check our roster…Duffy will be our 4th player from Porter Ridge HS which is in my neck of the woods (Piedmont is my old school and my kids too actually) but PR sits in the middle of what used to be Piedmont territory.

Porter Ridge pipeline, I’d be OK with that.

Oh Nos!!! We took another ECU prospect!!!

I wonder if Bonds is having a sh**fit on Boneyard Banter again?

I’d look, but that website is a headache maker.

They advertise Devry University on the website! Is that for all the people that start and never finish ECU?

My child is in the band at Porter Ridge so I have been to all the football games the last three yrs. Duffy’s first year at PR was last yr when he transferred from Sun Valley. This is a kid that most college teams would want on their team. He worked hard in the offseason and put 15/lbs of muscle on his body. He plays running back and db for PR. I think he will end up at safety in college after watching him the past few years. He has the “it” factor when he plays. PR went to the state finals last year and he carried the team on his shoulders a few games. This was a team that also had Lee McNeil who is a QB at Charlotte this year.
If you want to see him, PR is playing at AL Brown Friday night. This is a game with PR ranked #6 in 4A and Brown ranked #1 in 3A. Brown will be moving up to 4A next year with more students than PR?

It sounds as if he wants to play offense in college, I believe that’s how we recruited him.

I think they host Devry at Minges this year in hoops.

Thanks for the info. I may try to check out the game Friday. Do you have PR remaining schedule?

I was in Kroger’s yesterday and strolled by the magazine rack. I noticed the FNL North Carolina edition (Friday Night Lights) magazine. It is totally dedicated to high school football and is a quality magazine. It covers all North Carolina high school teams and is thorough as best I could tell.FNL has a Top 100 players now in their senior year among other feature articles. I skimmed down the list and saw Chris Duffy at #34 and Tevin Lawshe at #41. I think the Charlotte 49ers are making some waves in the recriting ocean while still a year away from our first kickoff.

Duffy put on a show for PR last night at Brown. He had about 140yd on the ground, but it was staight up the middle on the #1 3A school in the state. He also played a great game on defense as well.
