Charlotte can offer PT, location and Sanchez. that’s about all I can think of to even be in contention with FSU.

this would be a pretty huge get for us at this point in the year. Height and experience.

sanchez has to be able to sell to him that with him, we can contend for an ncaa tournament berth. i’m not saying we can or can’t(before everybody jumps on me for overhyping) but sanchez has to be able to sell his vision for this season.

Has he made a visit to our campus?

Not sure

Yes, dominik has visited Charlotte already.

Yes lie to the kid! I agree with you.

I guess we did not seal the deal when he was here…not good!

I imagine as a grad transfer with 1 year to play, he wants to explore all options but final 2 is pretty good odds.

It will be a trade off. Since we are thin at the center position, he could probably get significant minutes and play a part in the beginning of our turnaround. At FSU, he would probably have a lesser role but be on an ACC team that would likely make the NCAA tournament.

I am guessing he could average 10 points and 8 rebounds for us.

Academics could play a role too. Hopefully we have a Masters program that interests him.

A couple of players Niners are listed with per Jeff Goodman’s list of grad transfers:

33) Matt Milon, 6-5 SG, William & Mary

39) Dominik Olejniczak, 7-0 C, Ole Miss

More on Milon:

Tribeathletics.com MBB: #2 Matt Milon

Having watched Milon play a ton of games I’ll say he could help, but I found him underwhelming. Coming to the Tribe from BC I really was hoping for a higher impact player. His shooting seemed off all year (seemed to be better last year) and he (like most of W&M’s players under Shaver) played little to no defense. He’s a three point specialist with experience, which is never a bad thing to have around, but I would be surprised if he’s a high-impact guy wherever he ends up.

ETA: It could be coaching that has hindered him a bit the last few years. I’m sure Sanchez wouldn’t offer if he didn’t think he could meaningfully contribute.

Have we been linked anywhere to Milon?

Only in that Goodman link above from Run, that I know of.

Thanks, I hadn’t looked at the link, only around on Twitter which I saw nothing linking us to him.

Grad transfers Milon (#35) and Olejniczak (#40) also make this list by Jeff Borzello.
