Brand new 2023 truck.

FWIW, I think this guy sums up the main issue right now:

The stickers on pickup trucks have gotten to the size of a starter home from 10-15 years ago. That’s not good.

Woah.

End of an era of true.

Would have never ever seen this coming 10-20 years ago.

Crazy.

I know it mentions EVs, but this was two of the dominant ICE car companies over the last 4-5 decades.

A Honda Z car???

Count me interested

Man I loved that car and the Bandits trans am!

Even though they were pretty crappy excuses for performance cars considering what came out the 60s and later 80s. The 70 era cars were turds.

Had a girlfriend in high school who had a Camaro. App State grad. God rest her soul.

clt is bigly concerned about Toyota’s quality issues

Another GX owner named Mark noted in the original post’s comments that he’s facing something similar, but he lives in Charlotte. Photos of his Overtrail+ model show a slightly less melted driver-side mirror cap, but several other components are heat damaged including his roof rack hardware covers, a body trim piece above the passenger rear-quarter panel, and the piano black door trim pieces on the B-pillar.

I contacted Mark who said, “People come up and ask me, ‘What’s wrong with your GX?'”

I was shopping for a new mid-size truck and ended up going with the Nissan Frontier over the Tacoma because NIssan is doing the old school V6 now.

You can afford to buy a new truck?

Sir, are you hiring?

Between that and having to pay for subscription services for already included features, I’m just about done with some of the car manufacturers.

Nope.

That’s awful, I’d be pulling the entertainment system out over built in advertisements.

I don’t care if it “only” pops up when stopped, it’s a driving distraction. You’re supposed to be paying attention to the traffic flow around you when stopped. And you have to click on it to get back to your infotainment screen.

Just waiting for the class action lawsuit on this one.
