Multiple people, separate instances, none of them inebriated. Just Boone police trying to drum up revenue because they had open containers outside of the tailgating lots.
You can go from lot to lot, basically anywhere on campus, but if you cross Rivers St. with an open container they might bust you there. That’s really the only spot where I have consistently seen/heard that they will crack down.
People can drink as much as they want on either side of the street, they’ve just got an issue with crossing it with an open container.
At the end of the day, win or lose, App St. is still in Boone…
…and that’s just one of the reasons why so many of us love it.

I’d also put Harrisburg in there, ahead of Concord.

Local restaurants, bars, breweries, coffee shops, ski shops, a newly renovated theatre, a new boutique hotel with a rooftop bar, etc. All nestled between a college campus and some of the oldest mountains in the world. GROSS!
I prefer Highway 49. Concrete, crime, Applebee’s, traffic, etc. All nestled between highways and an interstate. Who wouldn’t love that?

Yep made an unforgivable error…We play 2 out of 12 weeks during the week. Dont believe i’ve said anything about grandeur unless it was to say we have a better fanbase and team than UNC-C
So you’re not excited to play us because we suck, but you’re also not excited to play us because the location we’re in sucks…

Yeah that is real weak…And no one in Charlotte cares about UNCC…No comparison between the collegial atmosphere in Boone verses the strip center environment surrounding the 9ers.
Not unforgivable, just shows your lack of knowledge about your TV deal if you didn’t know there were mid week games required to get you approximately the same amount of money as CUSA. Just to try to educate you a little more if you are interested Fox tried to get CUSA to play Tuesday-Wednesday games and we refused. Yet still the values of the contract are comparable, strange how that happens despite your superiority.
And yes it is delusions of grandeur if you claim the SBC is superior to CUSA over the long haul, at least from this fan that seems to know your own TV deal better than you.

I’m very excited about playing in Charlotte. I live in Charlotte, so it’s about a 15 min drive for me and all my App buddies. How awesome is that we get to see our boys play in the QC! We are going to have a massive party!
You said downtown Boone is a dump. Just giving you reasons why I think it’s not. Some people think vibrant downtowns are dumps. Others think crime ridden urban strip centers are dumps.
