We rented a cabin out in Valle Crucis for the weekend. Heading up tomorrow around lunch. Grabbing a meal at Foggy Rock in BR then a short hike with the wife and kiddo before prepping for tailgate.

We are going to park in downtown Boone around lunchtime Sat and find somewhere to eat instead of having to bring all of the stuff for tailgating.

Last week instead of the App-State cheer to bring in the team we had a clap along to Queen’s “We Will Rock You.” It did not go over very well. The App State cheer started around 2005 organically by fans which makes it a bit more special. For those at the game last year in Charlotte I am sure heard it as it was going on between the end zone App fans and those sitting near the field house.

Last week it was a very weak cheer though not needed as the game never was really in doubt. It should be better this week.

I am not sure how our football team started in 1928. Things were more organic back then and much less processed and preservative based.

I assume App started ours organically as well.

I hope we’ve been working on special teams this week. We can’t give up a punt return like the game last season or a kick return like last week.

Some idiot named “App state Daniel” called WFNZ and made a very unintelligent joke about our game.

WFNZ (Mac and t bone) piled on him though, and talked about how great it would be for the city if we turn it around.

I don’t think we have the horses this year. But the city will love us if we win
