Youāve never seen Mark Mathis before? Go on youtube and type his name. He has about a million videos from when he was a weather man on Fox. Heās pretty crazy.

That guy is a debacle.
At least in the old days Mathis was entertaining because of the train wreck factor. He went home to Texas a few years ago and went to rehab for coke and booze I believe. Now, heās just plain awful. Everytime he thinks heās being funny, he screams and smiles real big. Apparently heās a born again Christian.
The days of the crazy antics, when it was actually worth watching him, are gone. I saw him host a stand up night once in his cokey days. He was just awful. Heād say an unfunny punchline. When people wouldnāt laugh, heād just keep saying it louder and louder until heād get some uncomfortable pity chuckles.
I think the interview was good. It didnāt dig to deep, and I feel like the average person in Charlotte got a nice introduction/reminder about the Charlotte program and Coach Major.

Iāve hung out with Mathis before through a friend. Heās really a nice guy, doesnāt drink or anything anymore, though you may see him out. Bought me a few drinks and didnāt want any sort of favor or compensation. Heās just over the top, and sports isnāt really his thing. He plays his role fine, heās supposed to be THAT guy on the program. I just think they matched up the wrong person for the interview thatās all.
Iām sitting here right now (3:47 AM) watching this movie called āWhere the Heart Isā (2000 version). Guess whoās the reporter in the movie interviewing Natalie Portman (Novalee Nation)? Yep, our boy Mark Mathis. Didnāt realize he was a movie star too lolā¦
